"STUPID/EVIL RATIO"

I like it..

Hillary pushes for a strengthening of political shield for our allies in the troubled region-Israel being the focus and trigger. Yet just yesterday, an American was accused (again) of passing secrets to Israel. Is Israel our ally? The law demands that secrets passed to N Korea or Israel in this case is the same crime. Speak now Hillary.

That was fun to read and I'm proud to say that I had only heard of a few of them.

Fugazi's picture

For a few of them, I wished there was a "STUPID/EVIL/SAD" ratio

Is it just me or does the cartoon guy at the top of this post look like Michael Moore?

I guess you could say Jonah is a little bit like MM, only without the brain.

The Rightwing Blogosphere doesn't scare me. The Federal and Local courts - carefully packed with Bushista rightwing judges over the last 8 years - scare me.
i.e.
AP News Apr 22, 2008 11:10 EST
"Former EPA chief Christine Todd Whitman cannot be held liable for telling residents near the World Trade Center site that the air was safe to breathe after the 2001 terrorist attacks, a federal appeals court said Tuesday."

Of course, all will change when the Dems take power. These courts will rule against us for the foreseeable future.

Remember during the impeachment, when Jonah got his start? He was on every cable network whining, "Quit saying mean stuff about my Mom! Quit it, you guys! That's my Mom!"
SHEE-ITT! Jonah, you poor sad bitch, you've got the worst Mom since Grendel.

Love the Stupid/Evil ratio - I'm going to use it.

Regarding the piece over at firedoglake, which ridicules critics of Amanda Marcotte, anyone who sincerely wants to know what the problem is should read up on the following links:

http://cathyyoung.blogspot.com/2007/02/pandagate-and-anti-male-bigotry.html

Firedoglake mocks people who object to Marcotte with the following remark:

"Mention the name "Amanda Marcotte" and instantly a troll appears to explain her utter, irredeemable, innate evil -- try it, like, the next time you're on the bus or in the shower or burning a flag or otherwise going about your normal routine. It's like "Beetlejuice," but you only need to say it once and it's a lot stupider. See you in the comments, and you know who you are!"

I don't know who they're talking about, but here's a quote from Amanda in the wake of the Duke Lacrosse players' exoneration:

"In the meantime, I’ve been sort of casually listening to CNN blaring throughout the waiting area and good fucking god IS THAT CHANNEL PURE EVIL. For awhile, I had to listen to how the poor dear lacrosse players at Duke are being persecuted just because they held someone down and fucked her against her will—not rape, of course, because the charges have been thrown out.

"Can’t a few white boys sexually assault a black woman anymore without people getting all wound up about it?"

While the accuser's case was falling apart, Amanda slimed the skeptics who proved to be right by calling them "rape apologists."

Instead of offering an apology, Marcotte scrubbed the offensive words from her site and replaced them with a post blaming other people for her troubles. What a gal.

And Marcotte is notorious for censoring—oh, excuse me—moderating critical comments from her blog.

I don't know about evil, but blaming others for your troubles when you're wrong and thinking it's OK for you to insult and smear people while preventing others from talking to you in kind—in other words, being able to dish it out but not take it—is my working definition of a complete asshole. And yet this toxic fathead, this human PR disaster who confirms almost every negative stereotype conservatives use to damn feminists keeps getting promoted by other bloggers. And THAT folks is why she drives people like me nuts.

All of this is excruciatingly obvious and simple. What does it say about the liberal blogosphere when so few its most prominent denizens seem able to understand it?

It's bad enough that we have people like Rush Limbaugh to deal with. Is it really necessary to out of our way to help him?

Oh, Man, I sure hope that Roy is not working for the VV. Ever since his VV post, we've been worried he might lose his focus on his own blog (alicublog) and go to work with those dirty, old hippies.

Is John McCain gaming the system?

Sen. John McCain has long said he is in robust health and is strong enough to hike the Grand Canyon, but he also is receiving what his staff Monday termed a "disability pension" from the Navy.

Wow. I read down into the comments of that piece, and found blithering imbecile PJ Comix pimping his imbecilic site, DUFU. He tried to assign himself a stupid/evil ratio of 20/80, but as he's one of the few bloggers on the Internets whose mendacity actually KILLED someone, I'd have to say it's more like 150/100.

It's so sad when someone wants notoriety for being an ASSHOLE.

I just had a very scary thought (go with me, but I'm being semi-facetious), the real Republican strategy is not the Rovian tactics that Hillary and the right wing bloggi are using. Are you ready for it..? The Democratic base of middle class and those living below the poverty line (including me) will be paying so much on food, fuel, debt, housing, etc. we'll no longer be able to fund our candidates or afford reliable news outlets so that we won't be able to make a distinction anymore, not that we could get away from one of our three jobs to vote anyway!

Have you noticed that another thing most of the right-wing blogs have in common is a plethora of Viagra ads? Makes one wonder why so many right-wingers have problems getting and maintaining erections, and after they get them, when do they find the time to blog?

Roy can also be found at alicublog.blogspot.com for some very entertaining reading.

I recently had one of my posts linked at Jonah Goldberg's site, and simply could not believe the stupidity of the comments I started getting. Thanks much for this eye-opener, as I now can attribute it to Goldberg's Stupidity/Evil ratio of 90/10 - which seems to have rubbed off on his readers, bigtime. They all start with the premise that fascism is a liberal trait - which premise is simply mind boggling.

"Lipstick Libertarian". Now that's funny.

Right Wingers are trying to create their own reality by blogging?

This isn't reality it's expression and communication I guess they haven't figured that out yet.

What do you expect of conservatives? They'll tell themselves any lie to keep themselves from admitting how effed up this country has become because of them.

Jonah is pure Neocon. They are keen on war and strife everywhere. They admit it cheerfully. “we are a warlike people and we love war. . . . What we hate is not casualties, but losing.”

These are the people running our government. Bush Sr. referred to them as those weird guys in the basement back during his term.

Well those weird guys in the basement took over in 01.

Sen. John McCain has long said he is in robust health and is strong enough to hike the Grand Canyon...

I remember a grueling Grand Canyon hike that I did once; from the Maswik Lodge to the El Tovar Lodge lounge and back - a couple hundred yards of sheer hell. Of course, I was robust and healthy back then.

This clown was on Real Time a while back, and I was shocked at the complete BS that Maher was letting him get away with. While I guess we should be thankful that this guy isn't a shouting clod, his views are just as empty and need to be counter just as strongly.

Isn't Goldberg the one that claimed During the Civil War if the North would have just bought the slaves from the south we wouldn't have had to fight the war ??

Wasn't that Goldberg ?

And the South wouldn't have stepped up the slave trade to meet demands?

Goldberg ought to be on Sean Hannity's show often. They have their IQ in common..........

It's a shame that James Lileks is a right-wing fathead, because his books on unappetizing 1950s cuisine, pre-Dr. Spock parenting, and bad interior decorating are hysterical and like crack. At least he's got something going for him.

The article's "stupid/evil" ratio for rating the bloggers is great.

Rating Malkin "97/3" on that scale was sublime. :)
