By SilentPatriot Monday Apr 21, 2008 1:15pm

You accuse me of “diminishing the search for facts and evidence,” yet thus far you have refused to answer any questions under oath or even from me that would aid in that very search.
In that respect, I want to be very clear that we repeatedly sought, through your lawyer, your presence on my program to respond to allegations made about you. I repeated that invitation on the air last week. I repeat it again by this letter.
You can read Abrams' full response here.

Let's see if Dan quickly folds, or keeps at it. This story has real potential. A political prosecution is about as vile a thing there is.
Keep it up, Dan.
The only response Turd Blossom will acknowledge is if Jeff Gannon pulls down his pants ..........
I'm glad Abrams ignored Karl's straw men and got right to the heart of it ... Why not testify? His questions back to Karl were great. Karl's 5-pg, 59-question letter was bizarre. Is he running scared?
i just enjoy that Abrams obviously got under Rove's skin...
What is that expression, "Don't pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrell"?
What a creepy slimeball!
Everything about Rove creeps me out. So far he has managed to stay above the law and get away with too much stuff. Hopefully this is the beginning of his downfall. 'Bout time.
He's wasting his time. Roves not even going to give him the time of day.
Is it me, or is Dan Abrams getting better looking, now that he has a look of steely determination in his eyes?
You go Dan--give Rachel her own show and get rid of Gregory and Joey "dead intern" Scar.
Don't dis the EMCEE!!
Whats new today besides nothing?

Oh, oil to hit $120 a barrel.
abrams is dope
Kudos to Dan Abrahms! It's so refreshing these days to see a true journalist actually doing his job. Most MSM now are just water carriers for politicians. Most have lost their way which is why so few respect or trust the MSM any more. Maybe there is hope. . . .
Classic repub response: Don't address the argument substantively. Instead, attack the journalistic integrity and competence of the person delivering the argument you don't like, even when your ad hominem attack is meritless.
Rove will never go on Abrams' show. He sticks to venues that are friendly to him and deferential to his "gravitas," which he actually does not have.
Good for you. Don't back down.
Monie Hussen @ 9:
Yeah, he's looking pretty hot in that pic.
Why can't America see that this is the way the media should behave. Why can't MSNBC put another like Abrams and get rid of Tweety and his disturbing men crushes.
You can be sure that I will report fairly and in detail whatever is said before that committee—particularly if you appear before it.
Rove won't appear before anything especially the American population.
What about "his flesh colored hair!" I don't recall whether it was Jon Stewart or Bill Maher that made that quip, but it was great!
4 neamhni hussein Says: i just enjoy that Abrams obviously got under Rove’s skin…
Puts a smile on my face as well.
Hope tweety doesn't see this. Abrams seems a little angry.
Dan sees his perfect opening to steal away the coveted 'left wing hero' status from the badly-wounded Keith Olbermann.
He's waiting with baited breath for his 'And I am convinced that Karl Rove will, in fact, be indicted' moment. Patience.
"Ooooh, momma. That 8 o'clock time slot is so close I can taste it. Boo-yah, Keith... There's a new kid in town."
This executive branch can't be touched. That's by design and they know it. They are dirty and above the law/ethics of this land. They will cheat to win. Two words come my mind greed and power. That's all it is. What is shameful in my opinion is so many people fall this neocon self serving agenda.
I like how Rove tries to create the idea that these accusations are false by saying nobody has ever come forward. If nobody came forward to disagree, then clearly there was no wrong doing, right? But then he goes on to rip apart anyone that DOES come forward as being uncredible and disgruntled and crazy or having dark motives.
Not only does Karl Rove act like anyone who disagree with him as having some sort of secret agenda to destroy him...but he calls THEM conspiracy theorists for believing something that hasn't been absolutely proven in court.
Not proven in court? Yet Rove goes out of his way to obstruct and avoid justice. Remember the Attorney-gate scandal that led to his "retirement"? the politicization of the justice department which he was directly involved with? Remember how many times he was called to testify in other trials...each testimony seemingly needing further and further clarification. One would think if he was innocent, his story would be simple. Why all the need to be requestioned or clarify?
No emails or conversation? After all we know about this administration and their extreme secrecy, that is laughable. We know for a fact that they don't write anything down, and if it IS then it is hidden from the typical channels (ie. RNC emails instead of WH email) or instantly labelled as being top secret and not even courts can look at it. The old "sealed manila envelope" of Macarythism returns is much larger form it would seem.
Gee Turd Blossom...the thing that is hardest to comprehend is, if you are so innocent...why the desperate desire to hide, keep secret, avoid testimony and politicize the LAW? Surely, if you are so innocent, the law would protect you and prove your innocence, right? Why the secrecy? Why the smear campaigns? Why do you keep hiding?
Nothing like a bit a clarity and steely determination to make somebody look ten times better....
Notice some reporters are going after the Bush Regime lately and when about to fold. Everybody knew Rove was a slimeball and on with the show business for 7 criminal years. What took Dan so long, like 2006? Is he jocking for a postion to please the in coming Democrats? Little late? Odd ain't it ?
It's only a matter of time before the reich-wing MSM launches a full on assault against Mr. Abrams.
Karl Rove is trying to Karl Rove Dan. He's handling this just as he handled bush's campaign. Take the opponent's strongest feature and try to destroy it. In this case, Dan's strongest feature is his knowledge of the story and the law. Rove is trying to cut his legal legs out from under him.
That's a hell of a good letter Dan wrote.
I sense Rove taking more time off to be with his family. At least until this blows over.
Kkkarl Rove is a criminal and justice is going to catch up to his ass.
motorfingaz @ 30:
Not as long as Justice is owned by the rightwing, which it currently is and will be for the foreseeable future.
casper46 @ 29:
Ha, ha! You said "Karl Rove" and "blow" in the same post.
I honestly can't picture Rove under oath in court and actually telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I imagine him intentionally lying under oath about something obvious just because he feels that he can get away with it and doing so with a "what are you gonna do about it?" attitude. Perhaps if he were called on it there would be cries of "activist judges" and a case laid out to abolish the judiciary branch. Sadly, I could see that working. Geez, I'm in a lousy mood today. Thanks for destroying my faith in our system of government and basic human decency, Bush administration.
L.A. Confidential @ 12:
I figured the gloves were off after oil hit the 100 buck a barrel mark. The skys the limit now. Gas apathy has set in. Remember back when Americans had a large collective set of balls and would have gone apeshit long ago over the corporate raping of their wallets and bank accounts ? Hey , did u hear they want Conseco back under oath for more steroids testimony. Who gives a rats ass ?
I was hoping that Abrams response had been a suit of defamation of character, or of libel, for the letter he wrote to Abrams.
THAT would have been sweet justice!
it's a sad state of affairs when the so-called left is looking up to an msnbc host as a model of journalistic integrity
now you know why open non-restricted wiretaping is so important to this administration and it has absolutely nothing to do with arab terrorists...
Even sadder state of affairs when a piece of shit like Rove is able to avoid accountability for his deeds. Bush didn't call him " Turd Blossom " cause hes such an angel and nice guy either. Too bad BushCo had to destroy emails, ignore supeonas, and obstruct justice to protect Roves ass. I suspect Rove , like Libby , told Bush and Cheney. " If i go down ? All you other assholes are coming with me". It is the Republican way afterall.
IgnoranceISNotBliss @ 19:
He will when chimpy the idiot is out of office, and the executuive-privilage bullshit-card can no longer stonewall justice.
Ooooh, I'm so mad I'm gonna write a letter. And if you don't comply, I may think about writing another one. Scared yet, turd blossum? Well you better be! Next up, I'll stamp my feet.
my goodness, dan. you're becoming more and more sexy by the minute!
dennis @ 23:
Dennis, speaking for the clueless as usual.
Karl Rove is a criminal.
NoGWBpolicyleftinplace @ 43:
The trolls simply spew whatever comes across their fax machines, or out of Karl Rove's sphincter.
Dan had better be careful. KKKarl will send out his goons! I'm sure his letter to Dan was meant to intimidate. At least if something should happen to Dan, the police will know where to look first.
KKKarl Rove should be in prision.
negativnein @ 37:
and its even more sad that you're looking up to a clutch of murderous crooks and liars...
negativnein @ 37:
Yes, we should be looking to journalists such as Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh
Thanks Silent. This is an important story.!
Oh Dan, I would totally blow you.
Olbermann wannabe.
Ahhhh....poor witto Rover got his witto feelings hurt :(
If Karl Rove were halfway clean, he'd still be working for Bush. He isn't. He was fired, and the proof is that his claim to want to spend "more time with his family" has been proven false. Rove isn't spending more time with his family; he's making speeches on college campuses for $40,000 a pop, meanwhile pimping for Newsweek and appearing on FOX.
But it's important to remember that he was FIRED by Bush, who invented the name "Turd Blossom" to describe him in the first place. He was also fired by the first President Bush. Rove's a has-been, basically. Whether Siegelman can nail him to the cross or not remains to be seen, but he absolutely doesn't deserve anyone's valuable time at this point.
If they're not shy to lock up State governors, just think when they come for the common folk. How many camps has Halliburton completed now? How big has Blackwater gotten?
37 negativnein Says: it’s a sad state of affairs when the so-called left is looking up to an msnbc host as a model of journalistic integrity
============================
Only as sad as looking to Rove as a messianic beacon of wisdom. (When he's really lying, manipulative scum.)
I want to know how long Rove's pasty behind would remind intact in the slammer.
Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
It seems as though Abrams is hitting a tender spot of Karl Rove.
For Rove to write him a legal letter. Abrams is raising the heat. Is the letter Rove sent to Abrams a sign of sweat on Rove's part.
Like to see this continue taking its course and Abrams turn the heat up a little bit more each time.
We need more Abrams' and Olbermann's in the media
Karl Rove is so amoral and so unpatriotic that he will lie, lie, lie simply because he can. Even though he is supposed to defend the Constitiution he does not and never has. He lies because he can get away with it and no one stops him.
For Karl, anything that is not blatantly illegal is fair game. In his warped reality, he has rationalized all his behavior for doing something obviously odious and not what a true defender of the Constitution and the United States would do.
