Rezko Trial Providing Bombshell Information

But not the kind the Republican party was probably hoping for, especially since it doesn't embarrass Democratic candidate Barack Obama, but reveals that Illinois Republican National Committee member Bob Kjellander and Denny Hastert were trying to get Patrick Fitzgerald fired during that U.S. Attorneys shake up, but his work on the Plame investigation protected him.

Well, let's hope that blunts the Obama/Rezko attacks.

If you think for a second that Barry the Ignorant is gonna skate through this pile of stinking corruption without some sticking to him you have been smoking crack.

Rezko is going down and given his dealings with Barry we might see Senator 'Hope' in court. Check No Quarter if you are interested in the facts as opposed to guzzling the Kool-Aid.

WELL WELL WELL, Republicans, looks like someone had their hand in the cookie jar and it was NOT Barack Obama. Uh, I suppose that analogy doesn't really work, their hands weren't in the cookie jar, they were more trying to poison the cookies...WELL WHATEVER, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

So, what is next Republicans? Are you going to try to link Barack Obama to Al Capone because they are both from Chicago? I mean come on now. COME ON!!
I hope we see the end to these dirty tricks or we may see the nastiest election in our history, as illustrated by this article here:

What?

somethings wrong with the link

Sorry Nicole - honest - but you are being a right wing tool. There was NEVER a Plame investigation. Plame was NOT an actor in this situation. Plame was a victim.

It was the LIBBY/CHENEY investigation.

Fitzgerald's work on the LIBBY/CHENEY investigation was a fraud. It was designed to use LIBBY as a firewall. Fitzgerald is a loyal stooge. FItzgerald is the reason impeachment proceedings against CHENEY havent gone forward.

Fitzgerald is not a good guy.

We blogs are going to have to pick it up as far as getting the truth out. Because as you can see the Press/MSM has turned on Obama. The talking points are out there. Popular vote "questions", the "10 point" or double digit win, the spin is in favor of the Clintons suprise surprise. Looks like the RNC in NC is helping out the Clinton cause as well with their "controversial" ads that keep getting mainstream attention. The powers that be want to see McCain vs Clinton. The establishment dream. Both candidates predictable. Let's throw a monkey wrench into their corrupt and corporate leaning system. The People!!!

Ehho....Look out Blagojevich. I think I see a recall on the horizon. Even worse an impeachment. Do they impeach Governors? Obama has to be involved in some way, look how fast he went up the political ladder.

Only enough evidence is needed for probable cause to begin. Impeachment is akin to an indictment. It is not a conviction nor is it the punishment that most people think impeachment is ( removal from office ). Those are both results of an impeachment.

Karma, baby.
I suspect all the other mud slinging will have similar boomerang effects.

Also, why do we hear nothing of Peter Paul v Clinton, for which a court date will be set tomorrow?

Either way it works for me.

Now I understand why some people withdraw from the world to live in seclusion and often in solitude.

No worries, this won't get reported on in the MSM, so Republicans won't suffer.

Damn liberal media.

It has basis. There's just a media blackout on it.
Also, it seems Rendell's name comes up in all this.

Just google the three names: Peter Paul, Clinton, Rendell.

What I want to see in 2009 is Attorney General John Edwards.

We FINALLY have a fighter. She has cojones of steel. She's no Gore/Kerry/Obama and she can win the murky middle. Obama's campaign just came out and said they don't need the working man. Say what? How green can you be?

Damn, that's a mirror image of a reich-wing site!

What the hell do the Republican’s expect? Where there is corruption, there is a Republican. That’s what they get for criminalizing politics, or something.

This is all just democrat bashing, we have seen these tactics from the GOP before. The problem with Hillary and McCain is they both voted for the war, and Obama didn't. So they have to make up all these lies to try and discredit Obama's leadership. Expect more Bin Laden commercials from the two of them before this is over.

Isn't it time to start taking a look at ALL OF THE US ATTORNEYS that kept their jobs and what they had to do to keep them instead of just looking at the judges that lost their jobs?

Have not Kjellander, Hastert and Rove's actions in the attempted removal of a federal prosecutor committed a crime???

Could or should they be charged with obstruction of justice??????????????

Been thinkin' the past couple mos. whether Rezko is guilty or not, he will probably be found not guilty because Chicago & IL love Obama :) Kinda like the O.J. trial where the jurors knew he was guilty, but voted for acquittal to balance out years of white injustice ie nullification.

Maybe not, but one of the questions the prosecuters should have asked the jurors is: do you like Obama? & if Rezko is found not guilty the republicans will shit a brick! hehehe one can only hope ;)

These "No Quarter" people are pissing me off. Look, just come out and admit you don't want a black guy in office. Ok? Do us all a favor and just stay on your own little blog, your bastion of racism and loathing of people-powered-politics.

As if Hillary is squeaky clean. Puh-leez. Nobody who is squeaky clean ever gets to the point where they can run for president. But if you really think Hillary can win in November you're deluding yourself. The one single, solitary thing that will get out the GOP vote will be Hillary.

Now go whine on your own blog, throw your unsupported accusations around in there, or else show some damned evidence. Or shut the @&!# up.

It's strange how the right wing and the MSM have been silent on Rezco lately. I think it's their wildcard. Here's a little known fact: Tony Rezco is a Syrian American born in Syria. I know this totally irrelevant to anything, but I'm sure some surrogates won't forget to remind the American people that Obama is associated with a Syrian. That of course, is what they do best, play on people's racist insticts.

Arab Americans are a valuable ethnic group in our country. Just check out this page: http://www.aaiusa.org/arab-americans/23/famous-arab-americans

chicken little, you need to learn the difference between a reactionary campaign and a leadership campaign.

obama's got leadership in spades, hillary's a goddamn weathervane, and more than a little bat$#!+ cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

Oh, and another question: if Obama doesn't have the ability to be elected in November, then how exactly how has he built a machine that has brought one of the most formidable political juggernauts -- the Clinton Machine -- to its knees? Seems to me that Obama is quite capable of getting things done. Quite more effectively than showing up and shouting "coronate me!" as Hillary did from the start. Obama has worked his butt off to put his operation in place, and he has blown the doors off the establishment.

So should we be surprised that they're trying to plant all this crap in the news media in order to submarine someone who is a threat to their continued gravy train?

Missing the forest for the trees, that's what is happening as everyone focuses on whether or not their is an Obama connection to Rezko beyond the real estate deal. What's interesting is that the Government's case is focused on Rezko and Stuart Levine, his partner in crime. Stuart Levine is a GOP fund raiser. His most telling statement in the trial was one he made to Rezko after Blagojevich won the elction and a Democrat took over the Governor's mansion for the first time in more than twenty years, he said - "the great thing is when we're (the GOP) in, we're in, and when you're in (the Dems), we're in." Stuart Levine has never donw anything in state politics without the blessing or knowledge of two people, the people who were the top reps for people who were "in" under the former regimes - Bob Kjellander and William Cellini. Neither of those two are being mentioned or touched by this investigation so far although everyone in Illinois politics with half a brain in their heads knows Levine is just a bag man for these two. Amazing that the entire focus of the investigation is on the Dems in office now and and that these two guys are still at large. Levine's statement illustrates that pay to play is the only way in Illinois and it does not matter which side of the political fence you are on. The rule in Illinois is that while you're "in" it's your turn to steal and when you're "out" you work to get back "in" any way you can - the Feds are often the pawns of the "out" crowd. This is the same way union leadership works, the "out" guys want in so they can have their turn at raiding the pensions and health care plans and work with the feds to get the "in" crowd indicted. Nothing will change as long as the Cellinis and Klellanders of the world conti ue to stalk the halls of Illinois government - Rezko's case does nothing to change a damn thing!
