"Condi Tried to Clinch Firm Arab Commitments on Iraq but All She Got was This Lousy T-Shirt" from the blogosphere's number one expert on all things Condi, Princess Sparklepony.
And don't miss Brando's post on the top ten ways we're going to woo the white male vote.
Open Thread below....

To win the white male vote, how 'bout Obama Giving Another Speech on ‘Race’ — NASCAR
i hope obama fullfill's his pledge and reaches across the aisle and makes ron paul his treasury secretary, just to really piss the scumbags off.
let us all pray together.
(it's called evangelical fury and the lord soaked me with it when i was baptized two weeks after 9/11)
EAT IT, VAMPIRES!!
We can't forget the most effective way of wooing the white male vote. Especially those that are inclined to vote for McCain or some other Republican. Promise them that they will be like some dragon slayer (I.E. Marine Corps recruiting ad) and promise that they will get all of the women they want because they are a "hero". Males that have the little man syndrome usually fall for that one pretty quick. I know, I know its an oldie but a goodie.
Boycott ABC, and don't let up till Stephie and Gibson are gone.
We should demand more from our media, and we won't get it till we demand it.
I saw a list like Brando’s once.
But it was about Black women.
I don't think anyone here would find it funny.
What a detournment.
Obama handled Faux pretty well and Reverand Wright gave a pretty good speech at the NAACP dinner.
Joe O. @ 3:
My recruiter told me that the girls really went for a man in a uniform.
Got stationed in Jacksonville, N.C. with 50,000 other Marines.
Oh to be young and dumb.
I would make perfect logic for the Worst Secretary of State in all of American History to run for Worst Vice President after serving with the Worst President of all Time.
Gotta hand it to the Saudis. They play all sides like a harp from hell.
Money talks. The jets are on the way Prince.
McCain is the pot calling the kettle black. First global warming took the polar bears, and Bush said nothing. Then it took the narwhals...
Bush continues to flout his own interrogation rules. Karzai just went through three assassination attempts. China and India are killing off Asian rain forests.
I'm white.
I'm male.
How Obama got my vote:
By showing me he has an intellect.
It turns out guys like me really do want somebody other than some guy who, had he not been connected, would have ended up a janitor.
Congress is surprised to hear about imaginary Syrian nuclear reactors. The country, btw, did a better job of returning the stolen Iraqi museum artifacts than us.

She's part of Team Saud indeed! That's why when riff raff comes into Iraq from Iran, we wave our arms and hold the Iranian government itself accountable. Yet when riff raff comes into Iraq from Saudi Arabia -- probably predating the Iranians -- we just engage in deflections and vagueries. 15 of the 19 hijackers were what now?! What's that have to do with anything? Next you'll tell me terrorism should be the key focus of the Global War on Terror.
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 12:
I'm white, I'm male, he's got mine, too. 'Course I couldn't give a rip about NASCAR, so maybe I don't count.
Is that Bandar's fat cousin, a bin Laden, or any other extended Saudi family of Bush?
Tequila @ 13:
I don't have to much doubt they may have had a nuclear program. I just have doubts about it being for weapons. Seems like I've heard similar stories before.
Since this is an open thread, I'll say one thing. Those tee-shirts being advertised on C&L are pretty inane. Seriously, their "funny" factor leaves much to be desired.
Okay, back to the regularly scheduled programming...
WHy does Condi Rice's smile scare me nore than Bin Laden?
Oh, i remember. When she is happy somebody somewhere must have died to make her a buck.
bullfrog are you 2B?
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 19:
Maybe the fat guy is Bin Laden's new disguise.
How about making Condi hillary's VP?
Elizabeth edwards had a very insightful Op-Ed in the NYT about the media and what's wrong with how they cover the news. And now another one of the few mainstream voices that ran counter to the trends she was writing about has fallen silent: Funeral pyre for the death of a liberal daily newspaper with a long, proud history of support for progressive causes. Saturday was the last day of print publication for The Capital Times, Madison, Wisconsin.
Ron @ 21:
That would be like a swimmer putting on a lead disguise. :)
tHeHusseinGaMeOfLiFe @ 22:
I really hope neither one of them heard you say that.

Yeah ok #34- throw your vote away.
Anyway, Condi's jersey number should be 666 or 069, whichever is more appropriate.
tyree @ 34:
That's the spirit!
Hi tyree!!!!

When Nov. rolls around, McCain will probably get my vote, with Diebolds help even if I vote for the Democratic nominee.

cant wait till the debate between obamer and clinton mano on mano!
Assassin @ 41:
Pimping his new "Deal a Kneel Program" are we?
tyree @ 54:
Yeah! Its about time they had a debate!
It been hours.
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 56:
well i have to admit the debates have really sucked what with the moderators just asking stupid questions , id like to have them show what they really got! im not squimish!
Hello, I usually just lurk and read here, but I would like to ask about a comment made by Ariana Huffington at the end of Bill Maher's April 25 show. She said there were 1000 American military suicides per MONTH. This seems unbelievable... 12k/year? How could they hide that many deaths, if in fact that was what Ariana was saying. She repeated it a few times, so no slip of the tongue...
Does anyone have actual data about this? Thanks, and I really enjoy this site. Rene
tyree @ 57:
The only debate i am interested in would have no moderators. Let them argue with each other on their own.
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 59:
How about mud wrestling? Or a cage fight?
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 59:
that is hillarys challenge to obamer, no moderators , she asks him he answers he asks her she answers 90 minutes of questions and answers ,
home solar @ 58:
I have heard that they were underreporting the suicides but don't remember what the numbers were. It is quite a bunch.
home solar @ 58:
Either she mis spoke or you misunderstood her. She was refering to the latest scandal/cover up in the Veterans Administration. Apparently they told CBS News that approximately 780 veterans attempted suicide last year. On the same day the guy who said this emailed someone and said, "Shhh! How can we tell them it was 12,000? What if they find out?"
Apparently today 33 veterans attempted suicide, 18 of them succeeded. Tomorrow it will start all over again.
tyree @ 57:
Absolutely pointless. All Clinton will do is filibuster, like she always does, and there won't be anyone there to shut her up. The only thing Obama can do is appear rude. There's nothing for him to gain from this.
I know when my wife and I "debate," even she would agree that there's no stopping her.
RobertD @ 64:
come on its only 90 minutes its not like hes marrying her!
miss_kitty @ 60:
Why not mud cage fighting? We've had a monkey throwing feces at us for 7+ years from the White House.
tyree @ 65:
And she'll talk for most of it. Pointless.
tyree @ 65:
Well here is the thing, Tyree. She needs a debate and he doesn't. She is behind, he isn't.
Wish her luck getting a debate.
Ron @ 62:
1,000 attempts per month.
RobertD @ 67:
ok then time limits hows that work for you?
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 68:

tyree @ 54:
Oh, give it up. What if Hillary won? She can't catch up no matter what.
Obama said he won't debate her before May 6th, if ever again.
Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated.
We are all so proud of our little Secretary of State. She can add this t-shirt to all her other great accomplishments in this pathetic administration.
How embarrassing for the stupid bitch.
tyree @ 71:
I think they are called benoit balls. The chicks really like them.
has condaleeza rice secured herself a land deal in a foreign land, as bush and cheney were smart enough to do?
Does anybody have any eye fucking dea what the number on that t shirt is about?
tyree @ 71:
What's up with you, Tyree? Remember when none of these people were acceptable to you because only Kucinich told the truth? They're still the same people.
If there is no moderator, how do you enforce your "time limit?" Not even the moderators can enforce it with Clinton. They always have to cut her off.
As for somebody being chicken, who's the person who voted for the war and won't admit that the vote she cast was wrong when over 4-freaking-thousand Americans, many of them kids, have died for nothing? There's your damned chicken.
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 75:

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Thanks to Ron@62, xiotes@63 and Proud2b@69. I lost my net connection and now back, so finally got the results of a search on military suicides. Yes, I think she meant 1000 attempts per month, but that is still huge. (funny, I never lose the net when shopping?)
And it doesn't include my cousin Steve, who crashed into a tree at 80mph soon after getting back from his 3rd tour. I often wonder how many other cousins are lost uncounted this way.
Goodnight for now and thanks for the late night conversation. R.

I always like to keep the riff-raff away, myself.
I don't usually post in open threads (i'm lazy like that) - but this is a new one: Obama is being accused of being the antichrist I wish i was kidding, granted it's an email type hoax - but apparently some people are actually taking it seriously enough to ask the "Urban Legends and Rumors" if it's real. It's covered by snopes here http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/antichrist.asp
Speaking stupid email stuff - has anyone else noticed that the overwhelming amount of stupid chain/ignorant/gossip email like this one is aimed at democrats and liberals? I'm not big on conspiracies - but i'll bet you $10 it's a strategy being played by the Goofy Old Party.
Another senseless shooting.

today was the la times book fair, and amazingly, although underwritten by that great "liberal" newspaper, there seems that there were alot of wingnuts hawking their wares...including america's number one asshat, baby hewitt....mark evanier, the great writer of and historian for the comic book medium was in attendance of a panel that the baby was a part of....and evanier quotes him as saying of obama, "Obama is too radical for America so to nominate him would be like — this is the analogy he used — the end scene of Thelma and Louise, driving off the cliff." thanks baby huey.
when his opinions were not shared by the majority of the crowd, the man baby declared that the crowd was not like the majority of americans.....there you go, you dont think like me, so you cant be among the majority
the only think i need to school evanier on, is that he thinks that some things frum says make sense...gonna forward him the recent vid posted on this site
john dean was there too, warning the crowd of what would happen should mccain become prez...gotta say, dean may be one of the last intelligent conservatives left around....gotta pick up his new book on goldwater.

Well here we go again with the Rev Wright BS. The morning joe show is ripping Rev Wrights speech at the NAACP. Once again taking things out of context and connecting Obama to Wrights remarks. This race baiting by the msm has become worse then anything Wright has said. When will the country wake the fuck up to the fact that since the voters don't seem willing to bring down the black man running for president, the msm will do it instead to make sure blacks stay in their place. We are a very sick country, and unless people stand up and stop this racism being pushed by the msm we all lose. Both Hillary and Obama supporters have to speak out againist this kind of racism being pushed by the msm.
I watched the 1st Carrier episode that aired on PBS last night about life aboard the aircraft carrier Nimitz. It's shocking how many crew members were saying they did not question loading the bombs on the planes or about where they were going to be dropped and on who, that they trusted the president or that it was a decision for the politicians to act in the best interest of the nation. When you think back over time of how many "just following orders" atrocities were commited. Some sailors had reservations, one or two even said they knew it was all about oil and joined thinking they were going to fight for America's freedom and now realized they are now fighting for oil (their military career and chance for advancement are probably over and I just hope those sailors don't have any "accidents") and some others basically said they went into the military for financial hardship reasons.

If you have ever been in the service you would not find this shocking. There was a old saying in the army that the young fight wars because your " young and dumb, and full of cum".

Obama plays it straight, Energy prices that tell the truth: the real presidential litmus test - http://gristmill.grist.org/story/2008/4/26/193959/236
Calling all greens: Barack Obama, battling to remain the front-runner in the Democratic presidential primary, this weekend took on the most sacred cow in American politics: cheap gas.
"The only way we're going to lower gas prices over the long term is if we start using less oil," Obama said in Anderson.
The dirty not-so-little secret about U.S. energy policy, the Original Sin underlying our 35-year-old energy crisis and the now-exploding climate crisis, is cheap energy, and Americans' ingrained entitlement to it.
Only high energy prices -- prices that internalize the grievous costs of energy extraction and combustion via gas taxes and revenue-neutral carbon taxes -- can instill the incentives and propagate the behaviors that will move us and other nations off of oil and off of carbon in the nick of time.
McCain Wants a Gas Tax Holiday; What About the Dems? - http://www.treehugger.com/files/2008/04/mccain-wants-gas-tax-holiday-how...
Clinton, who is behind in the delegate count, supports the idea of halting the gasoline tax over the summer, while Obama has spoken out against it, saying "The only way we're going to lower gas prices over the long term is if we start using less oil." Obama has also said that he would want Al Gore to play a central role in forming climate policy.
Clinton claims that the gas tax can be suspended without drying up an important source of revenue for the federal government. How would she pull that off?
Big Oil: 'Together, We Can' ignore global warming...American Petroleum Institute ad promotes climate catastrophe - http://gristmill.grist.org/story/2008/4/25/13449/1907
The ad's tagline, "Together, we can secure America's future," mimics the We campaign climate activism spot that concludes: "Together, we can solve the climate crisis." The path Big Oil envisions -- even as warning signs increase -- would instead destroy the future of America and the rest of the planet.
The collapse of the United States is accelerating: Oil in Euros vs. US - http://www.thepeoplesvoice.org/cgi-bin/blogs/voices.php/2008/04/27/p25078
In the last eight years implementing the plans for the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) designed "to promote American global leadership" has backfired. To accomplish PNAC's goals, all threats needed to be eliminated.
From the onset, the United Sates earmarked two countries as mortal enemies: Venezuela and Iran. With Venezuela, it is well documented that the CIA attempted to overthrow the democratically elected government of Chavez. And with Iran, the United States continues to use it as a scapegoat for its failures in Iraq.
These cold war tactics however are proving to be US's undoing. The United States is hemorrhaging from every orifice, and oil prices can be used to measure the rapidity of its demise.
Con-servatism DOESN'T WORK...they're proving it right now...
The Pentagon Strangles Our Economy: Why the U.S. Has Gone Broke - 60 years of enormous military spending - http://axisoflogic.com/artman/publish/article_26597.shtml
Our short tenure as the world's lone superpower has come to an end. As Harvard economics professor Benjamin Friedman has written: "Again and again it has always been the world's leading lending country that has been the premier country in terms of political influence, diplomatic influence and cultural influence. It's no accident that we took over the role from the British at the same time that we took over the job of being the world's leading lending country.
Today we are no longer the world's leading lending country. In fact we are now the world's biggest debtor country, and we are continuing to wield influence on the basis of military prowess alone." Some of the damage can never be rectified. There are, however, some steps that the U.S. urgently needs to take.
These include reversing Bush's 2001 and 2003 tax cuts for the wealthy, beginning to liquidate our global empire of over 800 military bases, cutting from the defense budget all projects that bear no relationship to national security and ceasing to use the defense budget as a Keynesian jobs program. If we do these things we have a chance of squeaking by. If we don't, we face probable national insolvency and a long depression.

With Enemies Like These - a gloomy scenario for Republicans - http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?docID=weeklyreport-000002712170&pa...
The Republican party and its presumed presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, are carrying the triple-headed albatross of a protracted war in Iraq, a sinking economy and the most unpopular GOP presidential incumbent in modern history.
Democratic strategists are already laying the groundwork for a general-election campaign theme they’re confident will work with either candidate topping the ticket: That McCain is unworthy of his reputation as a free-thinking “maverick,” a label he’s cultivated in recent years by challenging GOP orthodoxy on campaign finance, climate change, health care, taxes, immigration and the treatment of terrorism suspects.
Democrats point out McCain’s overall congressional record is quite strongly con-servative and have begun labeling him “McBush,” arguing his election would be tantamount to awarding the incumbent a third term.
Another reason Nuclear Power can never be the answer; Chernobyl: the great cover-up - http://mondediplo.com/2008/04/14who
For 50 years dangerous concentrations of radionuclides have been accumulating in earth, air and water from weapons testing and reactor incidents. Yet serious studies of the effects of radiation on health have been obscured – not least by the World Health Organisation. The “science” that has informed the nuclear debate in general, and the Chernobyl catastrophe in particular, is corporate science in which the industry is judge and jury in relation to the health consequences of its own activities.
The entire edifice of nuclear institutions, governmental, regulatory, military, industrial, scientific, research and intergovernmental, including Euratom and some UN agencies, is one incestuous happy family.
Workplace democracy under attack, Corporatist Republicans fighting against the worker again - http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/4/26/14147/0549/483/503943
Yesterday an anti-union group launched a TV ad against the Employee Free Choice Act. In case you'd forgotten, the EFCA is the most important piece of pro-worker, pro-union legislation under consideration in recent years. The EFCA has three main parts. First, it requires certification of a union once a majority of employees in a workplace have signed up for the union. Currently, after a majority of employees have requested a union, employers can force an election.
This may sound democratic enough, but in fact it allows employers to use their power over workers to campaign against the union, often harassing and firing union supporters in the process. Second, the EFCA prevents employers from dragging out negotiations on a first union contract by creating provisions for mediation and arbitration. Third, it strengthens penalties on employers who fire union supporters during union drives - such firings are illegal, but the current penalties are too small to serve as effective deterrents.
The Hill: John Edwards’s supporters are flocking to Sen. Obama. Not one of Edwards’s backers in Congress has endorsed Clinton. - http://hill6.thehill.com/leading-the-news/john-edwardss-supporters-are-f...
This and the fact that Obama is likely to win the North Carolina primary could prompt Edwards to endorse Obama — a move that could burnish the front-runner’s credentials with blue-collar, white voters, who are part of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) base.
Since Jan. 30, Obama has received more than 1,800 contributions from Edwards donors, more than three times as many as Clinton.

John McCain's domestic terrorism problem - http://www.jedreport.com/2008/04/john-mccains-do.html
McCain's reluctance to crack down on domestic terrorism against women, their doctors, and clinic staff illustrates his extremist views on reproductive freedom. Unfortunately, many women -- including an alarming number of his own supporters -- are unaware of just how radical McCain's positions are.

I see the T-shirt is blood red on color and Condi is clearly aroused by it.
Chico Hussein @ 129:
...but it was the dollar bills printed on the front that made her orgasm.
Ok, I'm sure it's already been said on this thread,
But shouldn't that read, "Condi 666?"
Actually, I wouldn't mind another debate, even if not wholly necessary, simply because the last one was so poor with questions about lapel pins and loyalty.
The earlier ones weren't much more than dual press-conferences where both stuck close to their stump speeches.
Ruthless People @ 130:
Is that what I smell?
It smells like fish struck by lightening.
ysbaddaden @ 133:
eeeewww....now that's just nasty.
ysbaddaden @ 131:
It should read:
"Washington DC penal #120687"
621 will be the dollar value of a barrel of oil before Condi leaves office.
...wait a minute, I think I see Oxycontin in one hand and Viagra in the other....that's no sheik, it's Rush Limbaugh in disguise!

hey c&l, thanks for allowing me this forum, but i'm long overdue for some down time.
this astronaut needs to decompress, and drink lots of orange juice. i don't care what anyone says, orange juice is better than tang.
i've also got to figure out some way to keep these damn bill collectors from banging on my apartment door day and night.
so readers, thanks for putting up with my loony leftist rantings, and to anyone i may have offended, i apologize if i forgot to twist the knife.
when i come back i'll tell y'all the 7 tales behind why i use "bullfrog" as my handle. i'd also be interested in why some others around here have selected the monikers they gutlessly hide behind from the safety of their computers.
in the meantime, if you're real lucky, lady sphinx will come out of retirement and kick some neocon @$$ straight back to the days of the pharoahs.
your pal,
bullfrog
p.s. less than 4 weeks 'til indy 4 drops. did you guys and gals all know indy and marion ravenwood are getting back together?
and, fellas, don't kick me in the nuts for this, but i'm kinda looking forward to that sex 'n the city flick...
Ruthless People @ 140:
Just trying to be ruthless here.
Shouldn't that shirt say Condi 69?
That's how she got the job you know.

Displaying balls is the last thing a politician would ever be in favor of.
If we modify all our cars to run on used cooking oil
Will they tell us it's our patriotic duty to eat more french fries?
Excuse me, liberty fries.
MountainMan23 @ 120:
Sounds like something to hang from our holiday trees and putzes.
Mmm...buffalo testicles...(drool).
Hopefully, in six months the only Rice we will be seeing is on the shelf in the market.
Oh wait ... they seemed to fuck that up also with the bio-fuel debacle.
Never mind.
I think in the Arabic translation of the old testament - 621 is the number of the beast.
And she's so happy!
