Oh Obama, I voted for you in PA. I still support you, But Hillary plays mean.

P.D.'s picture

Yeah Dave, Why isn't Chris Matthews or Wolfie Blitzer bringing up Hagee. Could it be they are rich whites guys who stand to pay more taxes if a Democrat wins? And they say Obama is an elitist.

I like having a light hearted post here after a long week and on a Friday afternoon.

The number one fact is probably not far from true for both he and Hillary. If McCain had to campaign this hard and long, he would probably be all tuckered out.

Tonight on Chris Matthews show he is showing a tape of a speech McCain made today. McCain made a statement that sounds like he is admitting the Iraq invasion was all about oil. He says that if we become energy independent our sons and daughters won't have to be fighting in the middle east again.

Oops, where is Joe and Lindsey to clean up the mess in aisle three?

General_Rennenkampf's picture

Ohmigod, humor! This is bad! People might actually...laugh!!!!

Runs off screaming "We need more Rev. Wright nonsense!!!" at the top of his head before slamming into Logic and Reason while struggling to carry Empirical evidence who fell asleep.

Captain Bitter Elitist Hussein Kangaroo's picture

He bowled a 39? I'm very bitter about this. As an elitist he should do better.

P.D.'s picture

Pissed off Patricia, I'm watching right now. Listen to that idiot SPIN! WTF! I swear these Repugs are on drugs are are seriously mentally ill.

Che's Lounge's picture

To paraphrase what John McCain said today:

"I will have an energy policy... that will prevent us from ever having to send our young men and women into conflict in the middle east again."

OMIF

P.D.'s picture

Now will the MSM run with it or let it die. Chris Matthews just brought up Wright again. And don't forget it is Friday, the dump day of the week. McCain will squeak by again.

Did the DNC run an ad right after McCain was on Tweety?

I dunno. McCain wasn't on, just showed a tape of his speech.

My brain is fried so don't expect many neurons to fire right now.

Pretty pathetic when Fox and Matthews are talking about the same thing. That same thing now being Rev Wright.

Don Davis's picture

Now Tweety is talking about Wright again. Christ! Mccain had a major Faux pas, and Tweety is talking about this crap. I cant wait until the primarys are over. These guys have whipped themselves into frenzy.

P.D.'s picture

I need real news. Not this partisan crap. It is kind of sad when I have to look foward to watching C-span because MSM is such crap.

Hey Obama's bowling score impresses me. I tried one time to roll, or whatever you call it, a bowling ball and hit myself in the back of the knee. It hurt like hell and I never rolled a bowling ball again. The places where people bowled at that time smelled like the original air was in the building and had never been exchanged since the place opened.

So if Obama can't bowl, hey that's cool with me.

Erroll's picture

Regarding fact #9, if only his vote had enabled Kucinich, the only Democrat to advocate for the total and immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq and a single payer health care system in America and the impeachment of Bush and Cheney and a Department of Peace and for the reduction of the military budget and who favored diplomacy over keeping the nuclear option available against Iran and Pakistan, to win the primary in Illinois.

Just put them both on the friggin ticket and let it be done. My head can't deal with this anymore. Thank god for my garden or I would be ready for the Asylum.

Have all the cable channels taken an oath that they will mention Rev Wright at least five times every thirty minutes? It would seem so.

The media is driving this Wright story even after most people have gotten off the bus.

Obama is a good sport for doing the bowling thing and going on Letterman.

No, how about we put Hillary and McCain on the same ticket? She seems to favor McCain over Obama. She could be McCain's veep or he hers. She and her husband have made statements that were favorable to McCain, so why not join up with him?

“Surprising Facts About Barack Obama”

10. He's actually NOT a Muslim! And never has been!
9. He's not as liberal as Edwards, Dodd, Kucinich or most of his supporters!
8. Not only did he never rape a white woman, but he's been married to the same black woman for years and has two black children!
7. He attended a black church for years without standing up and scolding the preacher during a sermon!
6. Obama's skin is not actually black, but a pleasant shade of mocha!
5. He doesn't watch a lot of television because...he's got a life!
4. Letterman's writers get paid to write vaguely funny things that don't piss off millions of people!
3. ...Like Obama seeking the endorsement of Kentucky Derby favorite Colonel John!
2. ...and talking about Paula Abdul!
1. ...and joking about insomnia! --Isn't that a hoot?

I feel your pain but putting them both on the ticket will only give the Republicans two huge targets in the fall instead of one. Hillary's national negatives remain high, and thanks to her primary campaign and the help of the media, Obama's negatives continue to rise. Despite the delegate numbers the media is continuing to make this a race. If the positions were switched, Obama would have been run out of the primary many weeks ago. Yes, thank god for gardens.

You're right about the "blackening" of Obama. Within one minute Matthews tonight used phrases like "on the hood" and "ghetto" in reference to this candidate. Nice job.

They aren't news people they are people paid to tell us what they think and what they think we should think.

Their job really is to catapult the propaganda. Most of them have become unbearable to watch and listen to because by now we know what they are going to say before they even begin to speak.

P.D.'s picture

Very true Patricia, They are very RICH guys spouting the drivel the corporate masters want them to say. And we all know they LOVE Bush's tax cuts. Now we the little people pay for these wars. They really screwed us good didn't they?

Comrade Kevin's picture

Am I the only one who finds it rather unusual that Obama's recent bad week was not due to his own actions, but that of a former friend and supposed surrogate?

If Obama himself had uttered the same words that Wright mentioned, I would have some serious doubts about the candidate himself. Having read up extensively about the role Wright played in Obama's life and the help he gave Obama as he was rising up through the political ranks, the remarks seem like either the posturing of a narcissist or motivated purely by monetary gain. Perhaps we should be questioning the mental health of the minister rather than lambasting him.

But you won't see me leading the Leave Rev. Wright Alone charge.

Matthews in particular needs to be watched carefully. The Dem establishment blew just enough smoke up his a** recently to make him think he's likely to get their support in a run to be a Senator from Pennsylvania. This continual blurring of media-politics is really dangerous.

Happily, when I'm at the computer I can't hear or see my tv. So I didn't hear what Chris said about "the hood" and "ghetto". In what context did he use the words? Was he pathetically trying to be clever?

What they are using to keep the pot boiling is how could Obama go to that church for 20 years and yada yada yada?

After 9-11 I had a falling out with a friend, I had had for 15 years, over something she said and that friendship has never been restored. I knew she could sometimes be a little heartless but something she said and did made me realize that deep inside she wasn't the person I thought she was. Maybe deep inside I had an inkling but didn't want to admit it to myself until things became so ugly I had to end the friendship. Things like that can happen in life.

No, I don't think he was trying to be clever. He was asking whether Obama's opponents had successfully "ghettoized" Obama and made him "one of those guys from the hood." Although pathetic, it happens to be a true observation of what Obama's opponents have successfully done.

How ghettoized can Obama be when he continues to win super delegates [who are former Clinton supporters], plus he won the popular vote, the pledged delegates and the states!?

So you had a falling out with a friend over ONE stupid comment/view. Well what if your "friend" had been making equally stupid comments for 20 years. Would you describe this "friend" as your "mentor"? Your "spiritual adviser" would you go to this "friend" for advice about any and all political moves you might make? Well you might, but that would pretty much show you to be a fool. And after 20 years of hearing your "friend" say these incredibly stupid things when somebody just NOW said, look at your "friend" over there, he's really saying some incredibly stupid things ain't he? would you suddenly become "outraged" at the things you'd listened to for 20 years? Because it's politically expedient? They call that being a coward and a panderer. I don't want a pandering, coward of a fool in the White House thank you very much.
