I'm glad Chris Wallace will Fact Check the RNC's political ads starting today

There are many issues to talk to Howard Dean about since it was the first time he went on FOX in almost two years, but Chris was really interested in trying to protect John McCain from the DNC's political ads and of course, Rev. Wright. It's fine to raise the issues, but he used most of his time on those two subjects alone. Well, I can look forward now to the same due diligence from FOX News Sunday and Chris Wallace to make sure the RNC ads are vetted by him as well. And I agree with Nicole's points too...
Wouldn’t it have been better if Dean when he decided to go ahead and appear on FOX had been tougher and said something to the effect of “the Republicans have done such a poor job of managing this country that their party is falling apart, and we wanted to go to the one network that we know caters to conservatives and try to get some truth on this network, so that the voters understand that conservative politics–such as FOX News advocates constantly–are not in their best interest. So I’ll give FOX a chance to show that ‘fair and balanced’ is more than a catchy phrase to fool their viewers.”?
Heck, Chris Wallace should fact check Freedom Watch's ads while he's at it. as Bluegal wrote: Speaking of which, Freedom’s Watch got their 3rd deceptive ad pulled from the air yesterday in MS-01. This is the second one pulled this week.
And FOX, CNN and MSNBC have aprroved the DNC ad.

I'd like to make a comment here. It was my understanding that fair and balanced meant FOX would be right wing supporters to balance the leftwing media. Isnt that what Wallace said? If so - they need to be made to own it. Reword it if you have to from fair and balanced to
'balancing the left by supporting the right wing'.

Watching "60 Minutes" right now, catching the last few minutes of a segment on the cover-up of the death of Pat Tillman by Rumsfeld's "snowflake" Pentagon.
I checked the cable guide channel for what "60 Minutes" would be airing (usually each segment is listed), but all it said was "The television magazine series covers a broad spectrum of modern life." Hmmmm.
Anyway, I will check back later here at C & L, because I have a feeling that I'll be able to catch the "60 Minutes" Pat Tillman segment in its entirety.

Though, they won't admit it, the appearance of Obama last week and this weeks Dean, I believe has shaken Faux a bit. It is imperative that the dems show that kind of attitude and forcefulness when confronting the Faux pundits.

Yes, it might not be the server. No need to follow snark with snark. I also have noticed weird things with this site like getting big question marks when trying to view quicktime files or windows media player simply not working or content disappearing and then reappearing. I'm no net specialist so I can't give any real helpful advice as far as to why there is such strange behavior with this sites content. But, I just couldn't sit by and let a site monitor just basically tell someone to "shut up, our site works great!".

As far as Chris Wallace fact checking the RNC ads, I'll believe it when I see it. Wallace HAS been exhibiting strange behavior as of late.
The Wright story backfired. Faux News ran with it endlessly, as did MSNBC. And now look at the polling. Most people Thought Obama reacted to the Wright situation in the right way. Americans are really suffering. No money, gas prices. Americans feel they have no control and are demanding change. People now know that MSM has it's own agenda. Does Wolf, Billo, Hannity actually worry about healthcare, gas prices or their mortgage? No! The fact the CNN is hiring Bush loyalists on their programing speak volumns. We, Americans have been screwed big time. And now we know it.
As I said in another thread, most Louisianans had no idea Baton Rouge was having an election, much less actually cared about it. I would like it better in this state if we didn't have Bobby Jindal as our governor. Something seems off about him. Maybe I should have voted for Boasso (his only credible rival in 2007's race.) Jindal seems....
