The Opinion Mill: It's the Weasel Boy Special vs. the Straight Talk Express! Should Republican sleaze weasels be rewarded for telling the truth after the fact? Should presidential candidates be rewarded for retooling themselves along the lines of the people they ought to despise? Only the Opinion Mill's Sunday Bookchat dares to ask!
ANNALS OF JOURNALISM: The jerk at the podium..."What liberal media?" department...Press corpse getting Iraq war wrong all over again...What does the decay of journalism have to do with our appetite for celebrity gossip?...It took years, but our press finally noticed the frightful surge in Iraq vet suicides...Killing your customers is a bad business model...Find out what the world thinks about US...WSJ bizarrely claim surge's "success" means troops must stay

About time for Barrack (The Great Unifier) to start "Unifying".
Mia Farrow's nephew dies in Iraq
another Pat Tillman type silencing of a 10 year veteran and most likely a cynical anti war pro peace soldier !?
This death of a 37YO Sgt in non combat sounds suspicious, supposedly sleep apnea and smoking !!!
ferrofluid (Obama 08) @ 2:
Another case of sending back to the combat zone a recovering soldier direct from the hospital, have they no morals.
L.A. Confidential @ 1:
A little hard to do when you have HRC and her surrogates using words like "Hijack" and "weaker candidate" - she is the one who needs to step up. It is the person who comes in second to unite her supporters with Barack.
Re: S. Korea and beef
When the meat industry is too lax with their testing, the GOP says, "government shouldn't intervene because the free market will take care of it." And when the market dictates that the meat industry steps up their testing (after all, these more rigorous tests were to satisfy Japanese consumers), the GOP says, "the government needs to intervene to prevent panic."
I think the GOP should just come out and say, "we just want to make people sick and kill them."
Sas @ 4:
Oh I see it's up to Hillary not Barrack to heal the divisions and create unity in the party I'm glad you hold your guy up to such high performance standards.
If South Korea doesn't want our beef, maybe we could sell it to North Korea. The USA could use an influx of hard currency, these days.
It works for law enforcement and the courts, state evidence, Queens evidence etc,
It worked for the South African country after Apartheid ended and they set up a 'Truth and Reconciliation Commission' to heal the wounds.
Anything that gets the truth of Republican sleaze and criminality out into the public light of day and into the legal system,
heres hoping Scott writes the second book, and helps on the Oliver Stone script for 'Bush'
WTF Happened?
White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan later said that there was no breakdown in security and no one intervened on Guckert's behalf to ensure his access, despite the fact that Gannon had been able to get a press pass for the White House using an assumed name. Gannon's response was that the alias Jeff Gannon was a professional name used for convenience, saying that his "real last name is hard to spell and pronounce," and that the Secret Service was aware of his identity.

Hillary's people are deserting her in droves, soon she will be alone on the roof tops screaming at the moon "the precious, it was miiiine, those nasty hobbitses stole it"
So get over it and join the Obama express.

Its normal for unknown and strange people to get WH passes and make 200 visits after dark to the WH,
and perfectly normal to either not log in or not log out, depending on ones whim.
Was it CREW that did the FOIA and got hold of the WH SS gate logs that showed Gannon's weird pattern of visits and missing log entries.
'so bad so sad' play dirty get swept away
Regarding Condi Rice meeting KISS. First of all, I don't see KISS in that picture; I do see two members - Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, beats the shit out of me who the other two are. Anyway, my point is, is this what Condi gets paid to do now? Do lame assed photo ops with fading celebrities. Is this really appropriate for the Secretary of State? Don't you think there may have been, oh, maybe ONE thing to do that day which may have been more important than this? This is pathetic; It reminds me of tourists in Hawaii getting all excited because they got their picture taken with Don Ho.
geneHUSSEIN214 @ 15:
My thoughts exactly. And Jesus Christ, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons look like shit.
L.A. Confidential @ 1:
Doesn't Hillary have a place in unifying the people she fired up to dislike Obama? I realize this is politics 101 in any political race, but it's not simply up to ONE candidate to unify.
BTW, I am looking for Hillary supporters. If you’re in Hils camp, would you pop by here when you get a sec?

Thanks in advance!
I think it's better that Dick Cheney meets with KISS, constantly. He'd have less time between his naps in office to start another war.

You oughta see Frehley. He looks like Jabba the Hutt.
