I know this is slightly off topic but I heard this rumor over the weekend and I had to post -- Barak Obama isn't a legitimate, legal candidate for president because he was adopted by his parents; he was born in another country. I can tell you this rumor is going around amongst long distance truckers and therefore is probably pretty widespread.

I don't know if this is what you're referring to, but snopes.com debunks the "Obama isn't a natural-born citizen" rumor here.
As always, if many of our journalists were in other professions, they'd be fired by now.

I do like the fact that Barack Obama has the courage to utter the words 9/11 in a sentence. The other democrats, and most of us, would rather just let Bush and Guiliani discuss it, and believe whatever they tell us. It was the biggest god damn attack in America's history. It ought to be mentioned and discussed, not just to remember it, but to understand it and prevent it from happening again if possible. Peace.

Yeah, in my previous job we dealt with specs of different missiles, and any military analyst can tell you this is bullshit. Iran's ballistic missiles are categorized as "short ranged", so they would be lucky if their missiles hit Israel, never mind the US. It was very disingenuous of Bolton to spin Fox News's complete BS into "well they could hit US troops".

Got me all excited for a minute there, but of course, Obama, being a mainstream candidate, wouldn't dare go against the "accepted" wisdom.
In other news, why don't we use that same Sharia law agains the Blackwater contractors in Iraq who have murdered innocent Iraqis for looking at them the wrong way?
After all, the whole Fallujah mess started 4 years ago when there were 4 Blackwater guys hung from the bridge - the media made it seem like it was US Armed Forces, but it was not.
