Wonk Room: The fact that Richard Perle has been reliably and disastrously wrong on any issue he addresses doesn't stop our arrogantly unaccountable and proudly dysfunctional press from providing him space to spew more dangerous drivel.
The Carpetbagger Report: Speaking of reliably and disastrously wrong....
Politics in the Zeros: An interview with the Freeway Blogger, who's put up over 6000 signs on California freeways, reaching millions of people with an anti-war message.

All morning MSNBC has been questioning whether we should believe all the polls favoring Obama over McGrampa.....gotta love that librul MSM.
Having the exxon valdez in the news again comes at a not so great time for McCain, after he proposed offshore drilling. It's a handy reminder of what can happen to our beaches.
Those who don't remember it might familiarize themselves with the damages it caused and the wildlife it killed.
Sadly, I don't think the people suing will ever see a cent of that money.
Today at one o'clock Hillary and Obama will do their unity thing. I hope that by then Senator Clinton will be able to smile when she says Senator Obama's name and also not drop her head when she speaks his name. All during last speech a couple of weeks ago every time she said his name she just couldn't smile and look anywhere but down. I just saw a clip from last night where she was talking about Obama and again, no smile and she looked down. Her facial language is mighty telling.
Luskin's article was absurd on so many different levels. Take for instance, his claim that a couple earning $300,000.00 a year in wages are not rich. What planet is he living on?

Dr. (Fast Eddie) Matt @ 1:
The Corporate Media (CM) is useless for people who want to know what's really going on. More and more people trust the internet, web sites, and blogs to learn the truth. It is the new MSM.
The FreeWay Blogger Is a SOLID citizen.
This is what everyone should be doing. Imagine the effect that would have if hundred
of people across the nation were doing this.
Don't let the San Francisco Bay Area be the ONLY place to do Patriotic acts.

God DAMN Exxon AND the SCOTUS!
That's criminal letting them off! After oil companies made record profits, they whine about paying 5 billion to the native in Alaska! I am ashamed of my country.
pissed off patricia @ 2:
Yeah, she wanted the nomination sooo bad, she could taste it...I kinda feel sorry for her, but not really.
♠Bangkok Bob♥ @ 4:
Hunderds Hell! Thousands! I'm game! We only have one main road here in the keys, so I'll be able to get the message across to everyone who drives down US 1!
test test
POP @2,
I really think she is in alot of emotional pain and disbelief. After all, for 8 years, all we heard was that she was "inevitable."
Unfortunately for her, GWB and the repukes destroyed the country so badly, that even the MSM carrying water for her was not enough. The day of the DLC corporate repuke-lite became anachronistic.
Poor Hillary didn't figure this out until it was too late!
Hey nice link on the Aristocrats post, funny thing though, I wrote this one http://monkeymucker.blogspot.com/2008/06/other-things-bush-mccain-will-g...
almost four hours before they put theirs up.
THE FORGOTTEN WAR
HIGHEST MONTHLY TROOP DEATH TOLL IN AFGHANISTAN SINCE WAR BEGAN
Posted: 12:35 PM ET
(CNN) –A roadside bomb killed three service members and a local-national interpreter in a coalition convoy in eastern Afghanistan, the U.S.-led coalition said.
With the deaths, the number of foreign forces in Afghanistan killed in June has reached 39, the highest monthly toll of the war, according to a CNN count of official figures.
The bombing occurred Thursday in the Sayed Abad District in Wardak province during a combat patrol.
Well, IMO the two best stories in the news this week .....
The FreeWay blogger and:
The name change of the San Francisco Sewage Plant to ... The Bush Sewage Plant.
Another prime example of the culture of corruption that is the GOP.

I really hope that these scumbags pay.
Even more great news!
I am amazed at the number of people who still don't believe global warming exists...

Obama will not win the election until he learns from the GOP to start bashing the media.
The message is clearly "vote for McCain." Don't use the "beer buddy test" because we all know that we would rather have a beer and talk sports or music with Obama. Use the "Godfather test" because you would rather leave you kids with great grand dad.
Plus, now that McCain flip-flopping is undeniable the media's message is flip-flopping is great and "Thank goodness he changed his mind."
So when the democrats have a personable guy who stands by his convictions those are suddenly bad traits to have.
sickening
richard @ 16:
"stands by his convictions"... who might that be?
Is Israel planning to bomb Iran? El Baradei said he will resign

Is Israel Preparing to Bomb Iran?
The New York Times reported Friday that Israel recently carried out a major military
exercise that Pentagon officials say appeared to be a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. More than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighter planes took part in the maneuvers over the eastern Mediterranean and Greece. [includes rush transcript]

The Coming Catastrophe?
The finishing touches on several contingency plans for attacking Iran
By David DeBatto
24/06/08 -- - Global Research Editor's note
We bring to the attention of our readers David DeBatto's scenario as to what might occur if one of the several contingency plans to attack Iran, with the participation of Israel and NATO, were to be carried out. While one may disagree with certain elements of detail of the author's text, the thrust of this analysis must be taken seriously.
Great Aristocrats post - and yours is funny, too, Dr. Monkerstein!
The neocon debunks are most welcome, and sadly, always needed.
Nobody Asked Me, But
Great expose by Palast.
Conservatives cannot mention Obama without describing the color of his skin.
Norquist: Obama is just "John Kerry with a tan."
They can't fight that DavidDukian primal extinct, can they?
An increase in the trust fund will not help Social Security. The trust fund is federal IOU's.
The federal government owes Social Security some 2 trillion, as it is. Increasing the trust fund will increase the federal debt to Social Security. Removing the payroll tax cap simply pushes back the day when Social Security expenses will exceed revenues and the federal government will have to begin paying back its debt.
