HOLY CRAP: My financial records "belong to God"...Who would've predicted the Religious Right would support the GOP nominee?...Asking God to intervene on gas prices...Bush edits out Jefferson's religious views...Clueless ideologues ...God arrested near Tampa church...Obama sets off debate on ties between religion and politics...Bloggers And Blasphemy...And finally...

No Rev. Copeland, your financial records do NOT belong to God. They belong to the IRS... and your sorry ass belongs in jail.
Holy Crap: I will be very, very interested to see if Rep. Glassley's "investigation" into
Rev. Kenneth Copeland(and other "do gooders" in the minestry) will be any more successful than those investigations by Rep.'s Waxman and Wexler when their committees
attempted to gain information from H. Miers/J. Bolton/Rove, et.al. I seriously doubt that
ANYTHING will occur/result since "religion" is involved. Quoting Rev.
Copeland(Dallas,Tx naturally): Hell, I am doing God's work, so fuck off". Just paraprashing.
excellent sunday morning reading.
THANKS MIKE!
There are three religious truths: 1) Jews do not recognise Jesus as Messiah 2) Protestants do not recognise the pope as the leader of christianity 3) Baptists do not recognise each other at Hooters or the liquor store...
"HOLY CRAP"?
Is this how C&L shows what it thinks of people of faith?
By atacking religion on Sunday Morning?
Cal @ 5:
I just report it. They do a pretty go job of attacking themselves. Get off your high horse. The fall will kill you.
Cal @ 5:
Well, it's probably best to get an early start....
Mickey Finn @ 6:
Reported it to who?
Cal @ 5:
What makes Sunday so special?? If a good Christian, this day
is no different than the other six days of the week. Kind of like saying: "Let's not
start a War today because it's Sunday".
Cal @ 5:
Seems like an appropriate day to point out the hypocrisy that a hell of a lot of Christians practice the rest of the week.
doggiebobo @ 9:
In all fairness, Sunday is a day off for most people so to be considerate wars should be started on Mondays.
By the way, a question for those who are praying to God for a reduction in the price
of gas, "Just how long will you/we have to wait for him to answer?"
CafeenMan @ 11:
Thanks, I knew there was a rational/logical explanation.
CafeenMan @ 10:
If on Sunday they only mentions the bad Christians do it looks like C & L hates all people of faith.
Though in all fairness the guy who claims his financial records “belong to God" needs to be checked for a brain tumor.
Cal @ 14:
Maybe that's the reason his Dallas "church folks" helped pay for his $20 million jet; so he can flyto a foreign country and have his brain checked at a location where health care is more affordable/accessible.
Cal @ 5:
I think that C&L is providing a valuable public service by shining a light on these xtians, many of whom have avowed their purpose as putting an end to secular government in favor of a cree-yist-yin theocracy headed by the likes of Robertson or Huckabee. These fools would stop teaching science in public schools in favor of their Buy-Bull fairy tales. I am too bloody sick of these idiots and agree with Frank Zappa's view,"Tax the fuck out of the churches and the businesses owned by the churches."
Do you all think this is State Farm's official position on Barak Obama?
Mickxotic @ 16:
I second this.
This idea that peoples' religion needs to be unconditionally respected is ridiculous. If you promote your goofy ideology in public, then it should be open to scrutiny, whether the ideology is neo-conservatism, white supremacy, homosexuality or christianity or anything. Once your personal beliefs become public, they should by default, invite comment and criticism. If you can't handle it, take the stupid jesus-fish sticker off your car, and STFU.
Doonesbury has the GOP nailed.
