What does 'time horizon' mean? Nothing. Just like all the other raw sewage that spews from the chimp's ridiculous lips.

At the Marriott in Philadelphia, the staff was quickly closing Rude Pundit's performance at Eschacon08 from other guests.

"Audacity of Dope" was considered for a slogan back in 2000 for the boosh campaign.

What does Time Horizon mean?

It really means, g*^d%^&*% f$%^^%$ N!@#$#$

Time horizon means denying the war opponents a win on their timetable argument.

It's like calling a janitor a custodian or a sanitary engineer.

Thanks kindly for the link and, more importantly, for the time and consideration you put into checking out all of the stories you must have to look at everyday to come up with these roundups. :)

You're welcome, and thanks for noticing!

Will Afghanistan/Pakistan become be the new Vietnam?

Are you trying to suggest that the US propping up of Musharraf is similar to their support for the Khmer Rouge? And that the Afghans, like the Vietnamese, will take over their own country and neighbor state, and then run them better than US puppet governments would? That's highly unlikely.

The US has never figured out a truth that even applies to their own country: Any real political change, including democracy, comes from within. No government has ever forced a system onto another country. Sooner or later, they're going to reject it.

Face facts: Afghanistan is a basket case and will be under the control of the Taliban again, either now or later. The only choice is, do you spend billions delaying the inevitable or get out while you can? Freedom and democracy will come to Afghanistan when they want it, not when other people tell them to.

i believe time horizon is taken from the convention of the horizontal axis in charts where time runs along that axis

It's quizzz time!!!

Believe it or not, I found this one at Littlegreefootballs. It's a news quiz to test you "news-IQ". I did rather wel actually. I scored a 91 out of 100!!

Take it yourself. Would be nice if they registered if you'd vote Dems or Reps.

Naomi Klein kills me -- her premise, that calamity allows legislation (and Iraq invasion, I'm sure) that normally would be impossible to pass, begs the question: Would Civil rights legislation ever have been brought to the fore without the social unrest that did precipitate it?

Man, I hope the stench is gone before I have to travel through Austin next month.
