A Tiny Revolution: What we wouldn't give today to have done what Jimmy Carter advocated 29 years ago (except perhaps for the expanded use of coal)

The Seminal: John McCain's utter cluelessness on the economy

The Political Carnival: The Dept. of Homeland Security is now engaging in voter suppression.

AverageBro: When keepin' it real goes wrong.

BTC News: Did crimes in the U.S foretell violence in Iraq? Well, duh.

Talk To Action: The Texas Attorney General has a pseudo "ex-terrorist" advising state law enforcement. More on this frothing fraud, who has been treated as an expert at major Religious Right events and even the U.S. Airforce Academy.

So basically because Ronald Reagan flattened Jimmy Carter's plan to reduce America's dependence on oil with the help of a Mass Media that he forthrightly unleashed upon America by removing the Fairness Doctrine we have ended up arming militarized Christian criminals and sent them to Iraq to commit crimes for Exxon's profit margin while pretending they are fighting for our right to get our asses kicked for voicing idiotic and offensive slogans on t-shirts concerning the Presidential Candidate who Homeland Security is attempting to thwart by suppressing voter registration so that we can have another idiot know nothing party boy get selected to the Presidency.

Why didn't you just say so?

So, who was the REAL traitor...the President with the foresight to have the country do what was in its best interest, or the President that unwound EVERY positive energy policy literally on the first day he walked into office.

Ostensibly forthright. Ronald Reagan, you were the worst thing that ever happened to us.

Yep, I think that pretty well covers it.

They should have buried that wrinkled up old bastard in an oil drum...labeled Made In Japan.

nobel peace prize winning, former president jimmy carter should have withdrawn US support for Iran and the shah, not to mention the CIA's influence over SAVAK. it would have been the moral, ethical, christian and prudent thing to do. had he done that, had we had a more moderate US voice in pre-revolututionary iran things would be a lot different in iran today. of course, that would have necessitated a direct assault on the oil cartels, but it was a necessary risk.

we should have listened to carter... but we shouldn't necessarily follow all of carter's actions in relation to energy policy

in a country that actually functioned the way the busheviks treated the USofa FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS, Ceaucescu...er, I mean, Georgie and Dick would be kneeling, in their underwear in front of a pit full of quick lime hoping the coup d'grace would be quick...

Nicolae Ceauşescu (pronounced [nikoˈlaje tʃauˈʃesku]) (January 26, 1918–December 25, 1989) was the leader of Romania from 1965 until December 1989.

That is a tad longer than Reagan and Bush-Bush combined and it took the coolapse of the Soviet Union to oust him.

You may not like what Walid says but if he is right he will one day be recognized as a visionary and "moderate" while the fools who go round saying Islam is a peaceful religion will be laughed by the people of America and the free world"

Meanwhile, a "Christian" president has invaded two Muslim countries and killed hundreds of thousands of brown people and injured tens of thousands more.

The "when keeping it real goes wrong" link involves a lowbrow hack trying to use racial tension to sell expensive t-shirts. The whole story is a hoax, where he is the only source. It may not be worth providing any extra exposure, since that was the whole point.

I think they mean like Haganah terrorist, Palmach terrorist, Irgun terrorist or just a Stern Gang member, perhaps? You know.....the same people who massacred Palestinians in 1948.

It's a bit depressing reading what Carter said given where we are now. It's also striking how the Bush administration pitches "going against the public will" on waging wars, a continued occupation and telecom immunity as "leadership," but Carter is still reviled by conservatives for showing the real thing on this issue.
