Considering their audience, I doubt anyone will notice.

Surprised it wasn't edumacation.

Not really news, but damned funny.

A clear typo.

Priceless!

Guess we already see the evidence of it costing someone their education. The first victim was the person who types the crawl info for Fox News.

Is our childrens learning?

Yeah, big whoop. It's slightly amusing but not really worth wasting time commenting on. Oh wait.

It's their Moran moment

Don't they have spell check? Or maybe Hannity set up their spell check.

"Is our [conservative news shills] learning?"

No matter. Spelling and grammar are for gay, gun-hating, affirmative action-loving, tax-raising, tree-hugging Libruls.

....waht do you expect.

Since we recognize the error or typo, does that make us educated elitist? If so, where is my glass of white wine?

What do you expect? FOX is the mouth piece of the Bush Administration. Do you really expect them to be educatified?

Dewds, it was a clear strategery ...

altho' not many folks know: that:

'EDUCTAION' is the process of building a germ warfare proof room with
grey duct tape and plastic sheeting.

I also like the Cavuto. Don't accuse Fox News for making such a ridiculous statement. They're just asking!

Psst - it's not gas prices that are hurting education, it's the fact that the GOP doesn't give a rat's ass about education.

Fox pwns Fox, I really wanted to hear the story about how great everything is going, you know No child lefty behind and gasoline at $2K a bayroll!

A little OT but not much. The other night BillO said he had asked everyone to conserve energy and they had done as he requested and it showed. So he wanted to thank them for doing as he had asked them to do.

So it wasn't the high prices of gas or anything else that made Americans pull back on their energy use, it was the request of the mighty BillO.

Did anyone ever stop to think that just maybe the word was spelled incorrectly for a reason? After all, they were speaking about the education of our children.

it is Fox....facts and spelling are not paramount for the viewers

take the test if you missed out.......if you have trouble understanding your score which many did Ron will
interpret for you....with glass in hand

the more important gaffe here is the quote that schools are "making kids walk further from home," which is, of course, incorrect. the kids must now walk farther, not further.

Ok! I took it and scored an 11/12 (91% better than average). The one I missed was about the Dow Jones. I don't know how I feel about that, but if I had to miss one and not be ashamed, that would be it. Speaking of which, I can't believe that only 28% of people got #3 correct...maybe they guessed higher, but geez oh man...

Actually, the real gaffe is the suggestion that creating a situation where kids might have to *gasp* walk is a bad thing.

Is that one of them pointy headed liberal New Yorker jokes. If it is, I still don't get it.

Is it "The farther I get from the truth, the more I need truth from the Father.
or "The further you is from the Father, you don't need to tell no truth?" Don't want no nuns a rappin on me.

FOX has invented the punctuational equivalent of a SPORK. A symbol that could be either an exclamation point or a question mark, and has no function other than to send subliminal messages to hillbillies. It's only fitting that it should be called a Cavuto. (I see it's already in the Urban Dictionary. It should probably be in Wikipedia, too.)

I find it really ironic that the conservative movement made such an effort to reduce the American political discourse to a series of knee-jerk three word slogans, and while they were successful in that, they also ended up adding so many words to signify political dirty tricks to the American political lexicon. "Cavuto," "Swiftboating," "Watergate" (and the practice of adding 'gate' as a suffix to any political scandal), "Rovian playbook/tactics," "Bushed," to give somebody a "Dick Cheney." What are some others?

Gannonize. (verb)
democratic underground defines it as "to ignore something until it goes away", but I always thought it was probably something much more disturbing and probably scatological.

all of you also missed the fact that there was a "!" and not an "?" at the end of that statement/question. so they just butchered the hell out of that educational segment. can't spell and can't comprehend grammar.

My first thought was that maybe FOX had outsourced their captioning department, but then I remembered that most of the english-speaking noobs I've ever chatted with can actually spell 'our' words very well.

Yeah, and Warren Beatty was the moderator. I heard on Fox News, it must be true! :P

Yet too commonplace and typical of FOX Noise.

I can't understand how they can stay on the air, quite frankly -- or why anyone would watch any of their crapola.

Why the surprise? They are a bunch of rightwing idiots, who are in such a rush to further their bullshit agenda, they don't care about truth and editing, nor quality control.
