Lawyers, Guns and Money: It’s breathtakingly simple, I suppose, to support a potentially endless mission in Iraq when you can’t imagine that your decision to leave might have anything to do with the wishes of your hosts.

It was quite refreshing to hear Obama say, "Success in Iraq is not going to look like victory in any other war we have fought. No one is going to surrender to us. Success in Iraq is going to be when the Iraqis have taken back their own country and American forces have left, other than those few forces still helping to train Iraqi troops," or words to that effect.

Kimberly Kagan is as dangerous as her husband Robert Kagan. They have absolutely no respect for any ones lives and welfare but their own and familys'. They are more than willing to send other peoples family members off to wars based on "packs of lies" if it suits their beliefs and needs. They are a member of the the collective psychopathic clubs that hijacked our nation and lied use into Iraq.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Knoxville's police chief says the man accused of a shooting that killed two people at a Tennessee church targeted the congregation because of its liberal social stance.

Chief Sterling Owen IV said Monday that police found a letter in Jim D. Adkisson's car. Owen said Adkisson was apparently frustrated over being out of work and had a "stated hatred of the liberal movement.".....

As for the supposed ascendancy of the "realists" in Washington: I wouldn't bet the ranch on this alleged victory of Reason over Blood & Iron. The neocons have come from behind, more than once, to win another day, and, this time, they have an overseas ally – Israel. That ally couldn't act unilaterally against Saddam Hussein: they had to depend on the US to make the first move. They could only lobby – quietly – on the sidelines. This time, however, things are quite different: the Israelis have declared Iran's nonexistent nuclear weapons program to be an "existential threat" to the survival of the Jewish state, and have practically announced their intention to strike if we fail to do so. Such a strike would certainly provoke a furious response on many fronts, including in Iraq, and this would doubtless drag in the US as Israel's co-combatant.

Fucking up foreign policy (even a war) against public approval is not enough to bring down a political philosophy. Destroying people economically and with an "in your face suck it up" attitude is. The neoclowns are most likely going down. Brought down by their own greed, and its results - the dying middle class.
