There will be criminal charges brought by the Justice Dept's 's Public Integrity section. MSNBC hasn't seen the charges yet, but it would seem that they are because of statements he made to investigators who were looking at his business dealings.

More coming soon...

Time for the Bush Administration and the Attorney General to step in to stop this. If not Stevens will get that famous pardon from his fellow crook George W. Bush. Look if someone doesn't step up to the plate and protect this good old boy Republican other might think they will be forgotten to when the charges are filed against them. The Republicans pride themselves in being loyal to each other as President Ford said when he give Nixon a get out of jail card. Yeah, I will too. My other reservation as to number obtained has to do with exactly
whom Obama will appoint to various Cabinet Seats. That is, when Obama is elected,
that is one open Dem seat in Illinois; then if he appoints Dodd and Biden to cabinet
postions, that leaves Dem. senate seats open in Ct. and Delaware. Who will be "up
for election to fill those is an unknown, should they be appointed, so I feel as if the
precise number is still a somewhat unknown...
