Blue America Welcomes Annette Taddeo

Annette Taddeo is the newest progressive candidate to be endorsed by Blue America. She's running against a right-wing Bush rubber stamp in Miami-Dade, in a district looking less and less red by the day. She'll be living blogging over at Firedoglake from 2-4pm, EST. This 2 and a half minute cartoon the campaign released yesterday will give you a good idea about the opponent she's facing. Isn't this the repub lady who is best buddies with Pelosi's rubber stamp, Debbie wishy-washy Shultz? Dems like Debbie, who won't campaign against their cocktail confidants, must be primaryed out.

I'm with you on that, John. And what makes it worse is that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is the chair of the DCCC's Red to Blue program. She's surreptitiously working behind the scenes to get her pal Ileana Ros-Lehtinen re-elected and the DCCC has repeatedly refused to fire her as chair of Red to Blue. The corruption is beyond belief. It's no wonder Congress has a 9% approval rating.

I live on that district, and all can say is that Cubans love Ros-Lehtinen and Bush, and would vote against their own interest (i.e. Bush-like), for something that happened almost 50 years ago. It pisses me off but I still see the Bush-Cheney bumper stickers in this awful place.
A pretty effective video, problem is, what tiny minority of voters are going to see it on YouTube or visit a website to watch it?

I like this idea, more real voices need to be seated that can vote in favor of human rights democracy freedome wealth economy , and much less that are easily bought out for Corporate profits.
I really think a 3rd "internet" party would be cool, but how about a tag, }AB{ or something infront of or after saying such and such canidate is a democrat, but what kind of Dem is he or she?

Good ad, but too long. The average American with little real interest in politics is not going to sit through a 2 minute political ad. I was sort of getting bored after the first minute.
Try to cut it down to a minute and it should be golden. We get the idea that homegirl is a rubber stamp. Emphasize that and make that stick out and things should would out fine.
Good luck to Taddeo, hopefully she won't be another rubber-stamp spineless Democrat, we have plenty of those already, thank you.
Does anyone know the amount of money that would have been lost had Bushco been allowed to privatize Social Security? The tanking stock market surely would have reduced the amount of monies and benefits for years to come. Just curious about the "what if's" and whether or not McCain voted for the privatization.
