Sunday Morning Bobblehead Thread

Max and the Marginalized - Antiseptic

All in an hour, misuse of power
Will not encode within the waves that beam from the tower
The map to death’s door, oh that was forged
All might be fair in love but I’m afraid it’s not in war

So Max and I were emailing each other (he's on tour for another week) and expressing our mutual disgust that the media could give us non-stop salacious coverage of John Edwards yet completely ignore what was happening in Georgia and the revelations in the Suskind book and Max went back and wrote this song about the media circus. I think it perfectly encapsulates how I feel about the media now.

And sadly, I don't think we're going to get a reprieve from it this morning. We have Karl "I should be in jail" Rove on Face the Nation, McCain Campaign Manager Rick "Really, I'm not a lobbyist, I swear" Davis on FOXNews Sunday, and Bobby "I don't believe in evolution, but I believe I should be Veep" Jindal on This Week with guest host Jake Tapper. Think there's a chance of some meaningful discussion of really important issues? Me neither.

ABC's "This Week" - Govs. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., and Bobby Jindal, R-La.

CBS' "Face the Nation" - Gov. Tim Kaine, D-Va., and Karl Rove, former deputy chief of staff to President Bush.

NBC's "Meet the Press" - Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

CNN's "Late Edition" - T. Boone Pickens, chairman of the energy investment fund BP Capital and creator of an alternative energy plan; Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Carl Levin, D-Mich.; Govs. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., and Charlie Crist, R-Fla.; New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg; Housing and Urban Development Secretary Steve Preston.

"Fox News Sunday" - Rick Davis, John McCain's campaign manager; Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.; Amy Zantzinger, White House social secretary.

"Chris Matthews Show" - Panel: David Brooks, Gloria Borger, Katty Kay, David Gregory; TOPICS: Amid progress in Iraq, how does Obama keep the heat on the war? Can Obama really bring the change to Washington that he's promising? METER QUESTIONS Would Obama be able to cut deals with Republicans in Congress? YES: 10 NO: 2; Would McCain meet stiff opposition from Democrats in Congress? YES: 11 NO: 1
