McCain's lobbyists have raked in nearly $1 BILLION in fees

But John McCain is the "anti-lobbyist" candidate, right!?
The non-partisan group Campaign Money Watch has come up with another startling figure for those who follow the presidential money chase.
According to an analysis performed by the group, McCain's top fundraisers and aides have collected nearly $1 billion in fees from U.S. companies in the past decade -- specifically, $930,949,819. Using numbers provided by the Center for Responsive Politics, the group also found that officials of those very same companies have given nearly $12 million to McCain's presidential campaign, so far.
How's that for a talking point?

The whole lobbyist issue is a smokescreen. These guys are bought and paid for long before they get selected and put in place. Don't keep getting tricked by these BS issues.
The only issues we need to focus on is getting out of Iraq (and any other conflict), Impeaching and imprisoning EVERY government criminal, repealing all patriot acts, military commission act, FISA and abolishing the Federal Reserve and IRS.
That is the only way this country can survive. EVERYTHING else is just BS.

I wonder what it's going to take for the "Obama's not perfect" crowd to realize just what an unmitigated disaster McCain WILL be.
Do I like the fact that Obama's backtracked on NAFTA, voted for the FISA capitulation bill, supports giving our tax dollars to religious institutions, employs wal mart lobbyists? HELL TO THE NO!!
But here's what I do know:
1. Obama may or may not be for real. One thing’s for sure he’s not going to save us. However he may allow us the opportunity to save ourselves, maybe not.
2. McCain will accelerate the downhill slide we are on and that won’t stop until we are a wholly owned subsidiary of the multi-national corporate bloc that is currently manipulating and orchestrating the disaster we’ve been involved in for the past 7 years.
3. Ralph Nader is a non-entity politically. He has diluted the effect of his earlier accomplishments by playing the spoiler in 2000. Unfortunately (and perhaps unfairly) that’s likely to be his legacy.
4. A vote (or not voting at all) for anyone other than Obama in Nov is a vote for McCain and the subsequent dismemberment of our country.
I’m mightily tired of reading the sanctimonious bleating of those who feel Obama isn’t “enough.” He’s what we’ve got to work with. Deal with it. Don’t like him? Get him elected and then work your butt off to get someone better elected in 2012.

Lobbyist have raked in all that money but who really counts? The soldiers outside the country have given to the Obama campaign two to one. McCain came in third behind Ron Paul. if mccain gets in office....the gap between the "have's and have nots" will...continue to widen. this gap got a big start during reagan yrs. and has been on a steady increase since. making money is fine if your paying your fair share tax wise. also the big money people/corporations have too much influence in washington. obama is NOT completely bought yet and the rich don't like it. that's one of the reasons i'd like to see him in office. he hasn't been in the senate so long that k-street owns him.
