Republican Hissy fit coming!

Duncan is right:

As I've written before, Republicans will inevitably throw some sort of hissy fit over something real or imagined that happens at the Democratic convention in order to try to prevent any kind of convention bounce for Obama. Be prepared.

Drudge will rule the world and Mark Halperin will be in awe of his incredible influence. Then...when you see most pundits on TV---they will never be talking to you or me, but to each other.

It's time for a terrorist alert.

They have nothing so they must create SOMETHING!

Why can't the dems get their shit together and do the same thing to the connies?

That pretty much goes without saying, doesn't it? It's really what they've been reduced too. The days of Republicans being able to engage in debates over principles and ideas are long gone. All they have left is reactionary, knee jerk politics and divisive wedge issues.

"Over something real or imagined that happens at the Democratic national convention..." Could that be a reference to the fact that protesters will be herded in chicken wire cages [so-called free speech zones] about 300 yards away from the convention itself? This infringement upon speaking out [when did the Democrats outlaw freedom of speech?] is not happening at the Republican convention, which is where one would expect this to happen, but of all places at the Democrats' big party. Have the Democrats' big guns, such as Obama and Nancy Pelosi, spoken out against this outrage? If so, it must be awfully muted, as I have failed to find any evidence of any Democrats protesting that the rights of the citizens of the United States have been extremely compromised. Perhaps they are terrified that the protesters, despite protesting so far away, will expose them for the frauds that they are by revealing how militaristic Obama is by expanding the occupation against the Afghani people.

I'm at a low point. These bastards will stop at nothing to maintain power. Between the idiots who are still holed up in Washington to demand drillling to McCain's saber rattling. But the sad thing is, Americans are buying it. I wish Americans would take their heads out of the sand and face reality. Jeez, now we are at cold war status with Russia. Jeez! Can things get worse?

Too many people. Too little people. Too many colored people. Too many white people. Too noisy. Too quiet. Not detailed enough. Too detailed. Too boring. Too exciting. Etc. Etc. Etc.

C&L would know about hissy fits, to be sure.

The more time I spend here, the more I question the judgement displayed on these pages.

I'm about as liberal as a Canadian can be (which puts me off the radar according to US politics), but I'm wondering where else I could spend my time better.

TROLL ALERT!!!!!!!!!

[Deleted. Off topic-Sitemonitor]

Tell me what makes me a troll? [Wasting MY TIME with off topic posts that are obviously meant to start a raging flame war, that's what makes you a troll-Sitemonitor]

Why can't the dems simply point that out? The GOP and specifically McCain will perceive some sort of make believe insult from the Democrats convention.

Why can't some pundit somehwere simply say "Wait and see, McCain and the Republicans are going to create a make believe argument about the democratice convention, they always do" and just pound that message over and over again up until the convention itself.

Now, if it stopped McCain (we know it won't) then great, all will be forgotten. If/when McCain gets teary eyed because it's pointed out time and time again that he is in fact Bush 2.0 then the DNC can say "See? We told you he'd do it."

The sad part is being able to predict this stuff and knowing that all the resigned and cynical predictions in the world still won't keep it from happening in all its retch inducing melodramatic glory.

[Deleted. Off topic. Start your own blog. Bye-Sitemonitor]

like corsi, the rethugs are the same........
they sit in a tub of sh*t what else do they have to throw.
even when they slip completely under,
they continue to sink totally unaware!

It's time for a terrorist alert.

the terrorist alert will manifest the weekend before
the election......then bush/cheney will declare
martial law.

Wake me up when the Republicans aren't having a hissy fit, that'll be real news.

If I were planning the Democratic convention, I would make set up a satellite link to Larry Craig's bathroom stall in the Minneapolis airport and let the press corps cover it from there.

Americans no longer have their heads in the sand, they
have them shoved far up the reichwingneocon's assess.

Obama has to hit harder.... he has to make a strong case for himself.... better judgment and a bad case for mccain worse judgment....

they have to say mccain will be worse than bush.. that will destroy him...

these superficial games are only relevant if obama keeps pussyfooting...

obama needs an ad challenging mccain's judgment

1. iraq war... obama said no... mccain said yes...
2. attack alqaeda inside pakistan... obama said yes.. mccain said no
3. more troops to afghanistan.. obama said yes... mccain said no until recently.....
4. bomb iran... mccain said yes.. obama says no.....
this will close the judgment argument

all else is moot

Beware of Agents Provocateurs!

The cops started the riots in Seattle.

The cops were caught trying to do the same thing in Quebec exactly a year ago.

Protesters- be strong, but stay smart.

It will not just be the police either. Be mindful of any rightwing moles also.

Just like we are working towards for the rest of the world- STAY PEACEFUL. If you see someone trying to incite violence or disrupt- be wary; do what you can to stop them but don't play into their games and escalate the situation.

basically we were screwed , weve run out of politicians who are worth voteing for, what we now have to vote for is , more of the same , dennis kucinich was the last best hope america!

I wasn't thinking the convention would be a big deal, but I think Obama could tank if he doesn't start getting real with the base of the Democratic Party and start addressing McCain's criticisms head-on. If he's not careful, the Zogby poll is a sign of what's to come - liberal democrats finally calling BS on Obama's socialist/neoconservative (communitarian) policymaking tendancies, and his inability to address McCain's critique of his opposition to the Surge. Today in Virginia, Obama dismisses this set of criticisms coming from core liberal democrats as cynacism. Not a good sign O is going to get real with his politics. Makes me think he's going to pick Hillary as VP and make up with the ladies.

Ten more days, then they retire the Republican stalking horse candidate.

Pawlenty and or his friends destroyed it to prevent it becoming a shrine.

McCain has been working on the Surge criticism for a while now, it's a good criticism, but McCain is such a flake, that he has been slow in pulling it together. Today though, I hate to say it, McCain finally summed it up nicely. This bodes ill for Obama, b/c up till now he's completely dodged it, as you said he's been pussyfooting around it, rather than addressing it directly. Couric asked him four times of how he squared away his opposition to the Surge with its positive outcomes. Four times Obama stated he wasnt going to engage hypotheticals. Completely shameful. If you are a candidate for POTUS, you have to explain your public statements and votes, and back up your claims at every turn. If Obama is saying he has good judgment, then he's got to explain why he was against the Surge. This issue will blow up in his face in the debate if he doesn't start taking addressing it now.

It's time for a terrorist alert.

They have begun to stir the fear pot.

Condiliar Rat signing that pact with Poland knowing full well the Russians would publically start thier threats against the west.

Thus the 3:00 AM in the moring card into the Presidential elections.

The neocons are PURE EVIL!!

Boy, you got that right. These blowhard pundits have a good ole time talking at each other, and I doubt they even care if there is an audience. Mental masturbation at it's finest.

It doesn't matter what they say. Obama will win. I don't believe the propaganda the MSM is spewing. They did the same thing to Kerry and the election was fixed again. The only way they will win is if the election is fixed for the 3rd time. They keep playing the war hero stuff over and over again like a broken record. Yes, I respect him for what he as done, but there are plenty of war hero's out there. That doesn't mean they are all qualified to be a president.

i've stopped going to drudge in june. it's clear the guy has an agenda. he should just open a right wing blog. drudge should declare so people will know that he is choosing to post news reports that favor mccain.

i dont know what halperin's beef against obama is though.

I am sick of these pathetic republicans...they're the most unAmerican assholes since...McCarthy...they're gonna start a fuckin civil war if they keep this bullshit up...we are gonna have to fight for our very survival.
Goddamn fuckin neo-con FUCKTARDS!
I hope you all spontaneously combust!
