Coulter and Hannity? Desperate much?
You know how we at C&L hate bringing teh crazy Ann to the table, but painting Obama as a killer of children with birth defects is proof-positive that she, Hannity, and other McCain surrogates are really truly desperate to "excite" the GOP base to show up at the polls this November. (Painting McCain honestly as a staunch enemy of choice might, well, unite the Democrats and Independents against him, you know.) Even Dennis Prager risks his life sitting next to Sean and saying "Huh?" True to the format of Hannity's show, there is no proof or documentation as to what vote when gives them fodder for an explosion of bile. But the format of the show does allow for a lot of cross-yelping from Coulter. Nothing like job security, Ann honey:
The problem remains, the audience that they are aiming for is the sheeple nation, the 50+% who don't really pay attention, but who form their opinions based on shit like this.

If only that were true. In my family there is a sister and her husband...both college educated and well off finacially who do belive this crap. I don't know about my brother-in-law, but my sister was raised in a solid democratic home. As a scientist I wholeheartedly agree with you. I think these "debates" on the issue of abortion and life are biased to get simple knee-jerk reactions rather than truly discuss what it means to be alive, when that happens, and what we do with it. This issue is incredibly complex (neuroscientists/psychologists are still debating what the hell it means to be conscious/self-aware, let alone when it begins). But it gets hyper simplified by the "God-told-me-so" crowd that they're not even willing look at the issue rationally.
Of course my bias is to feel that this poison in the discussion happens because of the right, but I'm sure many progressives also react just as irrationally.

I actually saw this panel for a few seconds channel surfing. The minute I saw Coulter in there "Click". The queen of hate Ann is total garbage in my book. Not worth air time. She offers nothing of facts, only her vile insulting opinions. From time to time a switch to Fox in the evenings and see how long it takes to "Click off". Generally it's less then 60 seconds. This time it was about 10 seconds.

I was watching C-Span and they had on representatives of Emily's List. It seems as if young women will make or break this election. They are registering to vote in record numbers. So even if the polls and the press are stating it's to close to call, think to yourself, When is the last time politicians and the Media cared about what young people think? Young people are turning out in droves to vote for Obama. I have more faith in our young people than the people who gave us Bush and the Repugs.

Someone dig up a video from Monday or Tuesday when Bob Beckel was on sHamity and Colmes. They had Beckel and some NILF on and trying to go down this line of attack. Beckel absolutely went off on them. He called them out for all their shameful shit. I don't know too much about him, but Beckel earned a bit of respect in my book after that.

Look, if the right wing knuckledraggers want to parade an anti-abortion spokesmodel, they need to find one who has actually given birth. Democrats need to step up and do what the Rethugs did in 2000 and '04- help the third party be spoiler. Fact of the matter is not every Rep will swing Dem, they just won't, but they can be swayed away from McCain.
Support for Barr will not only help Obama and hurt WcCain, but it will also help to bring about a faster end to the NeoCon hijacked republican party.

Karl Rove has a really evil tactic of accusing his opponent of doing something that Rove's current client is doing or has done in the past. I think this accusation has to do with Mittens as VP.
The Mormons allow abortion, and a good question would be why, when the creation of children (recommended amount, 6 per couple) is so important to the religion. Have you ever seen a physically or mentally challenged Mormon? Think about it. The Mormons may be quietly selecting which pregnancies may continue, and aborting the 'defective' fetuses, which is perfectly legal, but would be a horribly truthful accusation if someone like, I don't know, the Crazy Christians decided to fling it at Mittens. Now the Rovians can say others are just saying that about the Republicans because Obama was accused of it.

I love ann. She's edumacated. Her incisive commentaries are both jarring and deafening to the democrats' entitled sense that everything will be remarkably better with them in presidental and congressional power. Shame on them she states with many non-elitist complicamated words. Speaking truthiness to power !
I refrain from rushing to judgement on her critique, simply because she has tremendous powers of insight. They transcend explanation or scientific inquiry. Imagine for a moment, if she would be allowed to fulfill the prophecy of becoming the next education Czar for the country (under a possible third bush term) ? I relish the moment, for her policy positions would no doubt be supported by 7,000,000 footnotes (I loves me some footnotes, especially after waking up and whilst eating my bowl of cereals - somehow, hers have a laxatative quality that bring about a strong movement, dare I say inspiration ?), inspiring confidence in the positive outcome that would undoubtedly follow our childrens learning.
As it pertains to the video, she brings up interesting points about womens rights. Should we be mandating our physicians be running around the operating room ? As a matter of safety, ann nails the issue right on the head. I fear, however, that I have digressed.
If I might be allowed another tangent, sean appeared caring in this videoclip. Caring for infants born of strenuous circumstances like no other human I've ever witnessed. For the benefit of full disclosure, I love sean as well, and I will continue to expect his literary wit to be unleashed on the American consumer with fury, maybe even ninja fury.

Actually, their ok with corporate welfare, i.e. the bail out of major banks and savings and loans, huge subsidiaries to oil companies, the ultra rich pay no taxes - but helping a single mom working two jobs - that is unacceptable.
You know McCain's actual number of flying hours is low owing to his inability to keep aircraft airborne but I'm pretty sure he was dropping bombs and or napalm or other peoples children. It's unknown whether they were handicapped or not before but they surely were afterwards.
