Hangin' at the Big Tent / DNC open thread

Well, I just got to the Big Tent. Thankfully I have C&Ler Gordon traveling with me and he's got a video camera with us to capture some Convention fun during the week It's freaking hot in Denver, I'm having trouble breathing from the altitude, security is really tight and we're all just feeling our way around the madness that is the Democratic Convention. I grabbed Markos for a picture since we're hanging with Daily Kos.
I'm heading off to the Pepsi Center later....

Denver always makes me sick, due to issues surrounding the altitude. Headaches, bodyaches, dehydration, exasperation due to lack of oxygen; the list could go on and on...
I suppose my point is to always have some extra-strength Advil on you, and stay hyper-saturated. Sunblock and some sunglasses are a must as well.

Although it is an obvious lie from McSame's camp that Obama started the negative ad war his spokes people (Nicole Wallace) keep saying on air that McSame is just responding to being attacked first. Oh yeah, did I mention he is a "WAR HERO" and would NEVER stoop to being negative !!

personally i feel the DNC should take the offense and denounce that...and to remind people this is a serious

I can't believe that they are there, John, but watch out for the Vacuous Vixens from the Right! MSNBC has them on right now, to add a "prospective." John McCain has a plan and was/is a POW!
If you're having trouble in town I suggest you do not go into the mountains over the weekend... You'll be looking at 8-9k elevation there.

We'll just have to wait and see. Supposedly a Dem "platform" of major issues will
be adopted and when Obama/Biden win in Nov., it can be implemented beginning
next year. BUT, if the same old, same old candidates are re-elected to the House
and Senate, then I'd have to concur that it is just a "piss up", and nothing will
change irrespective if Dems take "full and total" control of both Houses..
Like him or not, Markos (as are you John) is a true pioneer. Just don't forget your progressive supporters. Thanks for everything and enjoy the circus.

I know a lot of Clinton supporters still haven't wrapped their brains around Sen. Obama's expected nomination this week, but the last damn thing needed is in-fighting giving the GOP a wedge. Peace Out!

Hillary's still hoping she can steal the nomination. Great move by Obama to give her a straight up vote. She needs the nomination to pay off her $24m campaign debt. Which is of course why she isn't fully endorsing Obama - he hasn't agreed to a payoff.

Lucky fucks, I wanted to go to the convention but it's locked up tighter than a drum. The amount of checkpoints, police with riot gear and secret service are pretty staggering.
At least I'll be going to the Obama Nomination.
