It's a pretty simple yet effective message. Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld's 35+ years of "experience" led them to believe that going to war with Iraq would be quick, easy and in America's interest. Can we really afford four more years of that kind of "experience" and "judgment"?

I was glad to hear that voice-breaking "lion's roar" of Teddy's that has for so long been the loudest (and often only) sound coming out in support of the nation's poor. Ted Kennedy is the greatest senator of my time - bar none.

I am sorry, but Michele's speech was not that great. Her job was to connect her husband to the rest of America and show that he is a husband, father, and citizen just everyone else. WOW, I did not know that everyone went to an Ivy League school, everyone gets a chance to run for the highest office in the land after being in national public office for less than a single term, and can speak of "hope" and "change" for over an hour without giving a single detail of what exactly he is going to do to put this country back together. Sen. Obama is not an average citizen; he is not like everyone else. But, I still believe that that which separates him from the rest is still not enough. I still wish Hillary was going to be speaking on the last night rather than the second to the last night. And, all of the rousing speeches of today really did not do much to change my opinion on the matter.

First, she's a terrible public speaker. It's ironic that she is the first woman Speaker of the House. I just cringe whenever she's at the podium.
Second, her politics suck. As others have noted, she led the Congress perhaps most culpable in history for abetting war crimes. If Obama wins they'll likely simply let it all slide, leaving horrible crimes against humanity as unindicted precedents .. just waiting for a president with a "crisis" at hand to continue violating the constitution. Third... why is anyone clapping for her? She and her fellow Ds were elected specifically to stop the war. They failed.

I didn't like the fact that her pick for VP was Chet Edwards from Texas. Thank God the Obama team knew better and picked Joe Biden from Delaware instead. I think Pelosi must have some sort of connection to Texas and I would love to know exactly what it is.

1. It is imperative that the people of San Francisco turn out Pelosi. Just kick her out of her job. She is clearly incompetent and cannot be trusted to do the simplest moral acts.

Well, I simply don't get it with Nancy Pelosi. Her moves would have been perfectly understandable if she were in Hillary Clinton's camp but she never was -- unless her dislike of Hillary was just a smoke screen. At any rate, it seems as if Nancy has something to hide.

Let's start a San Francisco Sans Pelosi protest of San Francisco's voters. Publicly announce a boycott of any tourism or conferences to the city until it's voter's do the right thing and boot Nancy's ass out of office.
Watching Pelosi's speech, I kept muttering, "when's her face going to fall off." It only takes about two words or one smile from her to absolutely infuriate me.

Funny that Pelosi should talk about McCain being more of the same. Her congress has been rubber stamping every Bush dream into law.
It's time for a groundswell of all of us to call for Pelosi's position because of her support of bush and her reluctance to place impeachment proceedings in place. If there is no groundswell and she continues to just smile her way along with reid into democratic purgatory, we need to all just STFU and accept the status quo and allow what happens to happen. we need to accept that we are no better than our brethren across the aisle. She needs to go because she still doesn't get it. she had a litany of that which the senate has accomplished (minimum wage) and that which they hope will accomplish (universal health care), but what she doesn't get is that before any of this occurs and before sanity and confidence is restored to the senate, impeachment, criminal trials and incarceration must be put back on the table. that and that alone will restore the country. this administration has grown bolder with each passing month in flaunting the Constitution as well as the laws that govern this nation. They have done so under the guise of "protecting" us. It's time to wake up or as already said, STFU. Each time they break the law, they roll out the terrorist threat and the majoity of the heartland buys it. Their tune, let me tell you is getting old. played too many times, but hell they are on the way out and if pelosi has her way they will be allowed to skate. Bush will be allowed to retire to his ranch in Crawford and he will be viewed as an american hero for saving this country from terrorism. This needs to be examined very carefully before the skating begins. This country will self destruct if criminal proceedings are not begun immediately. WE must never forget, NEVER.

I thought it was funny how she went from throwing the Senate under the bus to trumpeting their successes and being proud of the Congress. Try to ignore our HUGE concessions and focus on the bills we did get passed. Everyone had a part to play in these capitulations. I don't care if the math doesn't work out. What's wrong is still wrong.
I think we need some new leadership in Congress and I think Hillary would make a great Senate Majority Leader.
