McCain : "Change Is Coming"
By Nicole Belle Thursday Sep 04, 2008 12:10am
Shorter McCain: Ignore the fact that Republicans have been in charge for the last eight years and I've agreed with them 90% of the time. I'm the change candidate!
My kudos to anyone who could sit through the whole speech. I couldn't make it personally. And of course, AP laps it up.
Not merely a Republican. Not merely a candidate. John McCain cast himself as a leader for all Americans, regardless of party or status.
After several days of Democratic bashing by his supporters, the Arizona senator struck a nonpartisan stance and promised that he wouldn't be bound by political party in the White House as he accepted the GOP presidential nomination Thursday before thousands of Republican loyalists.
"We are fellow Americans, an association that means more to me than any other," McCain told the Republican Convention, deriding "constant partisan rancor" that causes Washington gridlock. He rejected those in Washington who he said "work for themselves and not you."
"I don't work for a party," he declared. "I don't work for a special interest. I don't work for myself. I work for you."
Gag. I guess fact checking would be WAY more than we could expect the largest news service in North America to do.

I heard this guy was a POW
Wow... Lying is like second nature to these people.
McCain has been in DC for almost 3 decades, hellooooooo?
McCain Explains How His POW Experience Would Shape His Presidency
Has anybody noticed that the Dow has gone down over 500 points since the Republican Convention started?
Also while we are all watching the trials and tribulations of the Palin family, Dick Cheney is in Georgia (not to be confused with the Atlanta type Georgia) committing the U.S. to defend it against Russian aggression.
Ladies and Gentlemen: this is not good news!!
Did he say "I'm a uniter, not a divider?" If not, I bet he was thinking it. Did he mention he was a
POSPOW?The Republicans make shit up as they go along. Sometime people buy it. They don’t seem to be buying anymore. Yesterday afternoon Iowa was a toss up. Today after Palin insulted half of America Obama has a 15 point lead.
Change is coming? Oh good. I was getting very tired of those lying Republican bastards.
following from the last thread...
Old Billy Hussein @ 146:
Think about this, McCain & friends said the important thing is to be part of something bigger than yourself. What exactly is it about his campaign and potential administration that people should work for? What's the vision? Where would he take this nation? What problems does he think are a high priority to solve? What kind of solutions would he offer?
McCain is talking about his military experience and himself...that's all. It's all about John.
If you want to work for something bigger than yourself elect Obama to promote world trade - with worker and environmental protection. Elect Obama to create health care reform - that isn't going to be a giveaway to Insurance companies. Elect Obama to create the Green Revolution - instead of crash it for the oil companies. Elect Obama to fix the economy so everyone can benefit - not just to cut taxes AGAIN for the richest among us.
If you want to be part of something bigger than yourself vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
How much makeup was he wearing to disguise his changing age?
Change is coming? I think he's saying that under the watchful eyes of McCain/Evil Tina Fey, we'll all be homeless and on the street begging for change real soon.
These are the NEW Republicans. Not the same old criminal Republicans in office now. Change is coming.
Oh, the bull shit!
There were a few McNuts showing off their McCain puppets on MSNBC a few minutes ago. How appropriate! Doesn't that say it all? The guys with the McCain puppets were probably gas and oil and pharmaceutical lobbyists and Boy did they look happy.
He claimed that he was just a servant, if so he's the richest servant in history.
"Change is coming."
God, he makes it sound like a bowel movement.
The Repubs are like the abusive spouse: "Ignore my abuse for the past 8 years, I've changed, I promise."
Nicole-
Looks like Fournier had his hand up Liz's ass on that one.
Cool. I just found out the code names assigned by the secret service to the McCains. They are Homewrecker and POWned. I guess Rocky and Bullwinkle for the Palins is approriate too.
[Deleted. One of the stupidest posts I've ever seen on this blog. Topped only by your other posts-Sitemonitor]
I swear to GAWD I thought Chris Matthews was going to find John McCain and blow him live on cable TV. I cannot believe they pay that lunatic to keep talking. Nice of him to make Republicans sound like THEY were the sane ones and the Democrats are the ones out of touch with "real" America. Please, Chris, find a bathroom stall at the airport before you explode...
Personally, I think Pat Buchanan's hair sweep is looking very nice this evening.

"John McCain cast himself as a leader for all Americans, regardless of party or status."
Not a leader. Not my friend. Not fit to serve as president.
Enough!
Fritz @ 12:
I saw a humorous doll of him with a snarl. All it needed was built in recording to make it bitch and whine about Obama when you pull the drawstring.
Is John McCain endorsing Obama? or does he know he's toast and giving in
GoSarah @ 18:
HAAAa haaaa hhaaaaa, hehe.... Oh Boy!
Thanks, I needed that!

That was one of the worst speeches I've heard in quite some time. Even the protesters felt sorry for him after awhile.
To say otherwise proves that you are a liar or peddling propaganda.

Whatever drug your on GOSARAH you had better have enough to give to a lot of Americans for your pipe dream to come true.
I have to agree. I kept hitting the channel recall and my only response was "Jesus, is he STILL on?"
As I said over at WP, I have to admit that the single most horrifying moment was watching the crowd chant "Drill, Baby, Drill". The reckless disregard and complete disconnect to the world around them actually scared me (and trust me, I don't scare easily). It was something straight out of a bad B-Horror movie.
Besides the disgust I would have for myself for not finding a better solution, were I in a leadership position and had to drill for oil to help my fellow citizens it wouldn't be with banners and bells and whistles and celebrations but more a grim determination. Watching this group of venerables and miscreants applaud this utter uneducated rubbish-for-fact simply chilled me to the bone.
A day later and I'm still having trouble getting over that. I'll say it again - for Christ's sakes people (and for Christ's sake don't take me literally in invoking that ghos- er- guy) - take back your country. I don't think people realize just how close you are to the nation states you presumably abhor. State and restate and restate the separation of Church and State (and by "church" I also mean "corporation" as they're becoming one and the same if not already) and stick it to them.
They want "Constitution"? Good - then give it to them in tiny paper cuts right up their bound-up asses.
Seriously, 'nuff said...
Weary investors in the United States received a further pummelling yesterday as data showed new unemployment claims at a near-five-year high last week, a leading fund manager gave warning that America faced a “financial tsunami” and key retailers released disappointing sales figures.
GoSarah:
You might want to tell your heroine that you can find those columns all around the town she'd like to call home - it's a little place the Republicans hate so much - Washington DC.
They sure do hate it though. Look what they've done to it - with "patriot" McCain's help.
He loves his country so much he'll do anything to sink it. He won't get the chance to do it as President though.
Sorry for you.
GoSarah @ 18:
Go Sarah. No, really - GO!
i'm glad that both palin and mcsame were arrogant enough to blatantly lie during their speeches, just makes it that much easier to put together ads against them and show that they are exactly the opposite of what they say.
STOP George @ 30:

Here's some change- After Sarah Palin's sarcastic, mean-spirited speech last night, the McCain campaign announced that they had recieved $1 million in donations from constituents.
The Obama campaign recieved $10 million.
That's a lot of change!
I really don't know where to begin. It's like they were trying to say the previous admin was wrong, and they're going to fix it.
But they're all the same party , the GOP. Change? really.hmmmmmmmmmm. Somehow, I don't believe them. Maybe it's just me.
Return the country to prosperity?
I swear, my mind reels at their bullshit. Where does hyperbole end and insanity start?
Which ever one it is, they got it down.
I didn't know that living in a box makes you a great man

This fuckin guys POW experience didn't teach him a damn thing. The lesson should have been to NOT HAVE WARS and send young people to get fucked up like he did. Fuck him. Throw him back in the box.

And why did he have a seizure at the very end? Did they give him the wrong meds that evening?

So did most of McCain's supporters.
President PNACcio @ 39:
You can bet BO will receive another $10 million tonight.
GoSarah @ 18:
I do so hate to rain on your one person parade but his character and experience are very much in question by everyone intelligent to form one.
fiver @ 1:
Yeah, and they must have confiscated his flag pin. Da bastids!
I get the impression with both McCain's and Palin's speeches that AP, among others, had its articles written ahead of time and just filled in a few quotes to make them seem fresh.
No matter who was picked for veep, the choice would "energize" the base. No matter how Palin read her speech, it would make her a "superstar." No matter what McCain said tonight, he'd look like he was "ready to lead."
The downfall of America began when the media began to roll for its Republican overlords.
President PNACcio @ 39:
Yesterday afternoon Iowa was a toss up. Today after Palin insulted half of America Obama has a 15 point lead.
Republican change is coming.
Give them $1.00, they'll give you $.10 in change.
GoSarah @ 18:
I've found that the people who brag loudest about how much sex they get actually get the least. I guess the same is true about the people who brag loudest about their "love of country."
(Wait..did that smiley face at the end suggest the whole post was in jest? If so, Good Job, Suh! If not, keep a towel handy November 5th. You're gonna need it...)
Every one say it loud.... Worst. Speech. Evah.
And hearing those idiots go on about it on the TeeVee is really baffling.
reality is not reality anymore.
I hate this movie
xoites defends Constitution @ 47:
Wow, really? I haven't been following the polls (they're kinda ridiculous), but they changed that much?
... i gave it my attention, and scorn, until the 10 oclock hour, when the DAILY SHOW came on...
so thankful for that, but wonder if i missed a great ending... 'cause the rest was pitiful...
Tyler Durden @ 2:
I think it is simply their nature.
The Wilson Sisters (Heart) are objecting to the McCain Campaign's hijacking of their song "Barracuda" as Sarah's theme.
Maybe Chuck Berry can volunteer the use of his classic, "No Particular Place To Go".
[You are a flame baiter and as such are banned-Sitemonitor]
That was horrible. I can't take the choreographed creepy grinsmile thing he does. It's utterly repulsive. His robotic movements et al.
Not to mention the COMPLETE lack of description of what exactly HE plans to do.
I'm also not really sure how Republicans chanting USA is rebutting the protestors...... oh wait, I forgot, we liberals hate America.
McCain: "I know how to secure the peace."
It will be very peaceful...post Armageddon.
“Change Is Coming”?
Is there no original thinking left in the entire GOP?
Change is coming. And it's Obama/Biden. Deal with it John. After all, you have seven retirement homes.
Modern media analysis means looking at each event separately. In the case of McCain's speech, that means not looking to see how it compares to his previous words, and not looking to see if it matches his previous actions.
Here's an easy example: McCain takes credit for advocating "the surge", thus turning defeat in Iraq into glorious victory. Well, when did you ever hear anyone who supports the war in Iraq say we were losing and needed to change tactics? NEVER! They said we needed "the surge" to buy time for the Iraqi government to become more stable and legitimate. So how can Mccain now say that he saved us from defeat in Iraq? because media analysis of tonight's speech doesn't include comparing it to anything that was ever said or done before tonight.
McCain lied as much as Palin did in her speech. Maybe more. I didn't think it was possible to make Palin look humble, but Mccain's arrogance exceeded even hers. If a complacent media doesn't continue to boost McCain, Obama's winning in a walk.
Lieberman LAUGHING about Sarah Palin's readiness to be POTUS.
no joke.

If you have lived through the last eight years, and could even entertain the possibility of voting for a republican, you are a TOTAL fucking idiot!
Renholder @ 48:
I have dubbed it "inappropriate smiling." Very freakish.
these conventions never settle anything. as long as its a scripted event and the police are out in full force to brutalize free thinking people, mccain will always do well. just wait till the debates. I would love for obama to look mccain right in the monocle and tell him he's a bold-faced liar.
Bush: Starts wars, believes in the surge.
McCain: Wants to start wars, believes in the surge. NO CHANGE.
Bush: Privileged and out of touch with the working American.
McCain: Privileged and out of touch with the working American. NO CHANGE.

First they stole many of Obama's best lines and ideas, then McCain said we should share the best ideas and not worry about who came up with them first. If it wasn't so pathetic and transparent, it might be annoying.
krisken @ 44:
That is according to Jack Cafferty. Janet will post a link in a moment.
McGramps is going to bring change alright. About one standard deviation from W and Dick. About 5% worth of change.
Yikes!!!
They didn't vett the lyrics to Barricuda either!
Just saying...
what was the line about russia invading a small country?
that was some amazing LYING... incomprehensible... how DO they do it?
The WaPo has an article up: "How did he do?"
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/09/mccains_speech_how_did_h...
Check it out. I'd have to say critiques are running about 9 to 1 negative. The main criticisms: dull (and dully delivered); not specific in terms of what he would do as president to bring about change; not convincing in terms of healing partisanship in light of his VP pick's speech last night.
It didn't seem that delegates were overly enthusiastic about him.
here it is.
Research Corporation poll out yesterday, Obama has surged to a commanding 15 point lead over John McCain. 55% Obama to 40% for John McCain. Iowa was rated a toss-up until yesterday, and with the way the electoral map is shaping up these new numbers are huge for Obama.
This kind of comes off to me like a really tired, lazy version of what Obama said last week and said today while on the road. Change, I'm about you, etc.
Obama is passionate about it, seems convincing and isn't held up by voting alongside Bush a majority of the time. I'm not sure what McCain's proof is. There doesn't seem to be any. Apparently change to him just means a different person in the seat.
Boring, cliche-filled speech. It actually put my husband to sleep, so he toddled off to bed leaving me all alone to listen to McCain drone on and on against that blinding light blue screen.
McCain: "Diebold no doubt WE will WIN this election."
Anonymous Hussein @ 61:
I swear, it's like living in two universes. They're using Dem talking points and trying to make them their own.
And the stupid fuckers there just lap it up. As if it was their idea to begin with. Unfuckingbelievable.
The speech was pathetic. Obama is practically being handed the presidency.
Wow, even that pile of scum Jonah Goldburg at the NRO called the speech flat.
"Ehhhhh...maybe I'm missing some grand strategy or tactics, but I think it was a missed opportunity. Good that he did some policy. I liked that he championed free trade -- something he didn't have to do. I liked the fight, fight, fight stuff. Good that he was specific. I can come up with specific compliments about this or that. But it was flat, forced and basically a free pass for Obama."
I transversed the NRO for that, I expect to get sick tonight.
Northwest Washington @ 4:
Absolutely true--over 300 points today alone--the day after Palin's speech. The financial community is nervous about her.
The qualification and experience game is over.
And McCain has a lot of ground to make up:
Obama 297, McCain 241
Oh the drivel! How ever did it get to this?
Where is Gunny Hartman??:
"Why is private pyle up after lights out?
Why is private pyle holding that weapon?
Why aren't WE stomping private Pyle's guts out?!"
It speaks poorly about our populace that some of us would consider voting WILLINGLY for the two people we have been presented with from the rethuglicons. That speech. was. terrible. not for the pomp. I could care less about the pomp and how well someone can read a teleprompter. This guy clearly did not really mean what he said... he was reveling in finally making to that point in his life. Another milestone for HIM. WTF about everyone else? Well my friends, we are screwed...
Lerve the vets!!!!
Cindy looked like she was $300,000 dollars worth of metamucil acting faster than the label said.

RobertD @ 81:
Change is coming. Full blown depression.
McCain: "Beat a hungry child. Enlist and be killed in our armed forces. And nothing will bring you more happiness in life than being a dumbed down, brainwashed sheep."
CHANGE HUH, Lets try out a new version of the ERA Amendment. Let's see how quickly this token woman VP is put in her place and shows her true chops.
N.O.W. and interested Americans should start a grass root movement, play fire with fire.
I think I get it though; you see, what's changing is the lies and the amount of them; not the lack of media scrutiny of said lies nor lying itself. It's just new lies for the next four years that is the change.
Unconventional Conventionist @ 71:
Haha, thats some good stuff right there.
Xoites and Janet, thanks for the link. Go Iowa!
McCain is not an agent of change. He's been one of the biggest backers of the most corrupt administration in American history. He says he'd have handled Katrina differently, but did nothing at the time. The day after landfall he did the cheesy photo-op on the tarmac with the birthday cake, then boarded Air Force 1 to join Bush on a fundraiser. A real leader would have told Bush to turn the plane around and if that didn't happen, gotten off the plane and made a very public statement about what needed to be done. He is a coward and a liar. The only change McCain will bring will be to move the country toward the Middle Ages. His choice of a completely unqualified person for VP shows his utter contempt for America. You' have to go to a Klan rally to find a whiter audience and one less representative of America than the RNC. Go back to the 50's and leave the rest of us alone.
The entire republican party is a freak show. How did this group of hate spewing, greedy, lying, nazi bastards ever get control of this country? And how could anyone who is not batshit crazy support them?
We are in our 2nd republican great depression (Bush/Cheney are cookin' the books to make things seem better than they actually are), and yet, 47% of the idiots support McCain's change! WOW!
Dukakis just gave it to McCain. Absolutely skewered him on Larry King! I love it!
McCain is nothing but a hollow pumpkin.
Yes, he is so nonpartisan he named a right wing extremist nutjob as his VP. We must defeat this jackass.
Thanks for the Barracuda lyrics. Perfect.
mcfuckheads's smile and creepy laugh are
as demented as bush's. mcfuckhead must
be an alcoholic just like bush.
his IQ is obviously just as low if not lower.
McCain's going to fight for YOUR future. To make sure you have NO future.
Thanks McGramps. What would we do without you?
I saw the McCain supporters with the cute little McCain puppets too , how appropriate , the only thing missing was the puppet strings ( and skirts ) . My party screwed America but now I am here and even though I voted with Bush and the crooks 95 percent of the time I am going to straighten out my party so vote for me and never mind that I didn't get to pick my VP but some behind the scenes hard core right wing neocon Nazis who will be running the White House if I am elected told me who it would be , however I did talk to her for fifteen minutes and I did meet her once .Unfriggin believable . I wonder how many ignorant dummies will vote for this fart in the wind and and his macho moose hunter soul mate from Alaska ! Gotta love their solution to global warming and the oil situation ... drill baby drill ! JC ! Would have loved to be a toupee and wheel chair vendor at the convention , I'd be a wealthy man !
Look, I'll admit I'm biased, but if I admit that Palin did a great job, am I blinded by wishful thinking to say this was a terrible speech?
No passion. First ten minutes at his own party's convention apologizing for how much they've screwed up. Wierd, off-character grin. Endless, endless Cliches. Trying to out-"change" Obama?? And yet agaaaaain, the personal story of his POW status.
-Scott
John McCain needs to work on reading teleprompter. He sound kind of robotic when he repeats a point three time. "I will not you down" x3 times all in the same pitch and tone.
I am going to admit that John McCain in 2000 was impressive, and the body snatcher McCain in 2008 is not the same person. I think somewhere in between he fell asleep and change.
Stay awake America! don't let them take your body!
Janet @ 74:
I hope so. Maybe the GOP freak show was the reminder (wake-up call) the public needed!

As wise people say, we can either change (real change, not just attempting to veer away) on our own, or we can be forced to change.
Obama will help us change the good way, McCain will bring us to our knees and we will HAVE to change.
and why did he need a new stage for THAT?
what a waste...
It is beginning to look like America is seeing through all of this crap. I wonder how much money Obama will raise tonight? I know where $20 of it came from. :)

NoGWBpolicyleftinplace @ 63:
I have refrain very hard from saying this! But good lord! do we really need another 4 years until the country has rigor mortus setting in to convince these nuts that we need a change for the better?
I didn't freak out that Bush took 2 terms, and I have figure that maybe then it would a be a good thing in the long run for the neo-con nay sayers to question that maybe greed is not a good thing and this is why. So anyone that doesn't make over $250,000 and they still want to put the same party on the ticket, do me a favor! When Barack win the election and the economy improve, please give me some of your money so you can pretend your still living in a republican world.
When McCain fails to come through for them, they will love him even more. ( That's IF he gets elected.I can't see that happening tho)

Wow. Just wow! I was going to vote for Obama, but I'm a convert now. What a vibrant, scintillating speech! And he says he wants change too now. Oh happy day, we're saved.
This John Bush fellow and his moose woman are captivating!

McCain's speech sucked ass, so the McCain campaign is going to quickly drum up some choreographed horseshit for Palin to fire up that base again.
However , you can forget about her being interviewed. The McCain campaign said Palin will only do speeches:

I was surprised by the number of protesters that got inside the hall... the vets with "you can't win an occupation" and "McCain votes against vets" and of course the code pink member.
It was really bizarre to have had all of his surrogates bash away at Obama for three days and then Lindsey Grahme (the GOP's model Hitler Youth) comes out and accuse Obama of treason and trying to make America lose the war and then McCain comes out with that creepy grin and praises Obama.
WTF??? This whole affair seems like a "Twilight Zone" marathon!

Just got this from John McCain. I have never gotten anything from him before. It's real touching. (gag)
My Friends,
Tonight, I was deeply honored to accept the Republican nomination for President of the United States. I am proud of my record of service to our country and would be humbled to continue my service as your next president.
I have often said that I owe my country more than she has ever owed me. I am deeply indebted to our country. I never let a single day go by without giving thanks for the freedoms we are so fortunate to have as citizens of the greatest nation on earth. This is just one of the reasons I have always put the needs of our country before my own self-interest.
I'm very fortunate to have found a true partner in this election, Governor Sarah Palin. Governor Palin and I have a lot in common. One thing in particular is the nickname "maverick." I've been a maverick in Washington and I can't wait to have another maverick join me on the ticket and in the White House as we stand up to the status quo that has stifled reform for so long.
My friends, our nation is in deep need of reform. Our government is broken and Governor Palin and I, along with other Reform Republicans, are ready to lead; ready to shake up Washington and bring this needed reform. Our ticket, from top to bottom, is ready to break our country's dependence on foreign oil, ready to reform the tax code and reduce your taxes, and ready to support our men and women in uniform.
Unfortunately, Democratic operatives have chosen to spend this week attacking us. They have stooped lower than anyone could have imagined. And with just 60 days left in this election, we must respond to these attacks with the truth. McCain-Palin Victory 2008 is a fund set up to do just this; to set the record straight and get the truth out to all Americans who support our cause.
Will you help our cause by following this link to make a generous contribution of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more? Any amount you can give today will go a long way in responding to these shameful attacks.
The McCain-Palin Campaign and the rest of our ticket for reform are ready to serve our country. With your help and support, we can make this happen on November 4th. Stand with us now and join our team.
Sincerely,
John McCain
P.S. I have spent my life in service to my country and with your help, I will be able to serve her a little while longer as the President of the United States. I have found a dynamic partner in this election, Governor Sarah Palin. We're ready to lead our Party to victory this November and to govern effectively afterward. We ask that you join our cause today by following this link. Thank you.
The only change that's coming is that we're on our way to playing out A Handmaid's Tale if these two make it into the White House.
Maybe the way to defeat McCain and Gov. Hockey Mom is to simply:
1) Take the gloves off.
2) Clinically dissect Palin and McCain's records in interviews, ads, articles and reports (accessible to the public) every chance one gets. Don't get emotional. Just slap the results down for the public.
3) Whenever the MSM mentions Palin's appeal, say that she's a wolf and a polar bear killer. She has no respect for human, animal or plant life because of her lack of record with the environment. Also mention her ties to an Alaskan Separatist group. Put out the question that if she truly put her country first, why in the hell did she (and the "First Dude" [her words, not mine]) endorse and fund these people?
4) Whenever the MSM mentions McCain's appeal, bring up "Songbird", the first wife and the estranged family. Keep on mentioning that the McCains don't represent family values, especially with the fact that Cindy was a mistress and a homewrecker.
5) Whenever the MSM compares Obama and Gov. Hockey Mom, mention the GOP's track record in racism and sexism. Also mention McCain's track record in racism and sexism.
6) Urge the DNC to take the gloves off and fight back. It is all right to be dignified. But it is imperative to not back down to the RNC. Our country's future depends on it.
7) Send out the ten most effective attack dogs the DNC has and immediately infilitrate every political show, web-site and magazine with not talking points per se, but by refuting GOP lies and promoting policy. Remind the public that they need jobs, houses and a stable economy not a man drunk on his days as being a POW and a woman who shoots polar bears and wolves, living vicariously through her religion.
8) Continue to break down the lies that cause fear about Obama and flood the MSM with the refutations.
9) Enlist tough and dogged journalists (i.e Greg Palast, et al.) to dig incessantly and publish articles on McCain and Palast that bypass the MSM.
10) Start "memes" of our own. For every call of elitism, reply with "liar", for example.
Now is the time for action. And we can't let the Republican sycophantic MSM set the agenda as well.
Does anyone else have any ideas?
McCain is about to turn a fairly large percentage of Republicans into mavericks. LOL :)
Wizzled dipstick for lameduck 4 more years!
I'm so wanting to see what was so asinine that gosarah posted. Is it that repulsive, probably is...
Janet @ 131:
Holy crap. Obama just asks for $5. I can't imagine having the steel nuts to ask people for $1,000 or more. The guys got rocks. Too bad they do the thinking for him since his brain is mush.
i have another idea. accuse the repubs and the msm, everytime they critisize obama, accuse them of being the racist pigs that they are. make the motherfuckers deny it.
Every time he repeated the line about living in a box I kept thinking of Jim Profit.
Cardboard Box
MountainMan23 @ 129:
Most folks here don't watch the financial reports but the last two weeks have been full of horrific news. The FDIC has expanded its list of trouble banks from 90 to 117. The FDIC is running out of money to cover the losses and may have to borrow from the Federal Governement. The former head of the IMF said that some of the big banks that are said to be "to big to fail" aren't and to expect their collapse, the housing price crash has gone global and tomorrows jobs report leaked and it caused the -344 drop in the market today.
The shit keeps getting deeper and worse by the day. When will it end? The bottom doesn't seem to be insight yet.
Wow! They actually let 1 or 2 protesters come in to express the truth about the incumbant party - C & L should've shown more segments of them.
Perhaps a true patriot AND maverick, would march up before McSame and say: "Introducing your next war criminal!"
Amazing these patriotic demonstrators were able to get past security! Did they have to pay for expensive permits?
Still, why does freedom of speech and spreading the truth seem to be getting a lot more repressive over the past 8 years?
ronhohn @ 124:
McCain has been doing nothing but talking about his POW experience ever since his first campaign in 1982 and he never stopped since. Anyone who says different has bought the McCain campaign lie that the media loves to spread for him hook line and sinker.
I wonder who wrote that last part about "fighting fighting fighting" to solve the issues or whatever he said wanted to fight about. Didn't Bush already try fighting over just about everything for eight years?
krisken @ 136:
Maybe we should give john and I.O.U. slip when the economy gets better.
“I don’t work for a party,” he declared. “I don’t work for a special interest. I don’t work for myself. I work for you.”
The thing is, he has NEVER worked. Has he ever had a real job?
redcat @ 137:
That I would love to see, especially if Westmoreland was the one in question.
xoites defends Constitution @ 108: Heh...75 bones is hefty to me but it's worth it.
John McCain, change you can believe in ... By the way, he's a POW!!!!
Renholder @ 57:
Sort of reminds me of GWs "what me worry" look that MAD Magazine used as inspiration. GW and McCain, the same.
paranoia @ 142:
I wonder if Grampy McSame thinks that the $1000 bill of Grover Cleveland is still in circulation (even though large bill dominations were discontinued in the late '60).
If he is elected and dies in office, we will get more change than we'd ever imagined.
