Lieberman is among several national security experts helping brief Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on foreign policy issues as she prepares to hit the campaign trail while cramming for a debate with her Democratic opponent, Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (Del.), in less than a month, according to officials from Sen. John McCain's campaign.
Yes, let someone who knows nothing about foreign affairs learn about the world from the same people who have been wrong about every major decision in the past eight years. Change we can believe in!

I've noticed that when an unflattering story about McCain is posted, the comments start with 10 or 20 from the same person(s) with all the Republican talking points. They have gotten pretty good at cornering the Comments so that an uninformed individual would actually think McCain is a decent candidate.
Why don't they just send LIEberman to stand in for Caribou Barbie in the debate?
Somehow I don't think someone who transferred to almost as many colleges as McCain has houses is the kind of student who does well cramming for the big test. All this doesn't bode well for someone who is one heart attack away from the presidency (forget McCain's 96-year-old mom, his father died at 70 of a heart attack and his grandfather at 63). It wouldn't surprise me if she decided to step down to "spend more time with her family" within the next few weeks.
Who are they kidding? Lieberman will certainly serve as a shadow VP thoughout a McCain administration. Palin is just here now so that McCain might get there.

I think both Izzy and Rico have something here... I don't think she's gonna stay the course. Sure it's heady stuff just now, but I can't see her being able to carry this off. I think I am looking forward to the vice presidential debates even more than the presidential debates, for the theater more than anything else. But Biden will have to be careful to keep a straight face.

They splash the airwaves with her credentials to be second in command, a heart beat away from the highest office in the U.S., put her in controlled talking situations (dare I say "trophy running mate"?), and expect us to believe she's qualified? If she meets the standards they profess, then put her road kill skinning butt in front of tenured news reporters that will surely test her knowledge as well as her credibility and temperament. Again we see the beginnings for a secret government. Are they hiding her? If they are tutoring her, then where's that qualification checklist again? Who wants to make me a bet? Her first appearance will be on a FOX (it hurt to type that) program.

Having said this, she appears to have mastered "double speak", as was evident from her speech last week and others that can be seen on the web. This is bizarre. Every candidate that I have ever seen has been able to hold their own in some form or fashion while being interviewed. I've seen some that appeared down right dumb but they at least had an answer to the question posed. Palin is worse than that it seems. How pathetic can the Republicans get.

Agree with the choice or not, like the choice or not, the Republicans have just allowed themselves to steal a victory in the next election. Palin is at least as popular as Obama. Remember that whole story she told about her OB contacted her when she was 4 months along (16-20 weeks) and told her that her baby had Downs Syndrome and that she and Todd DECIDED to keep the baby anyway? We already elected one Preisdent who knew nothing about foreign policy and look where it got us. Do we need another 4 years like the last 8? Can't they run somebody that knows something about foreign policy? It used to be that presidents and vice presidents needed to know something about world affairs. From watching the republicans they can't seem to run candidates that are smart. They can't put two words together that make sense, or else they keep repeating the same speeches over and over again. Listen to Bush's acceptance speech for 2004 and McCains speech, almost word for word the same.
McCain talks about putting the country first, if he did that he would have picked a vice president that was knowledgable about foreign affairs. What will happen if for some reason he cannot complete his term? If she know nothing how will she handle Russia, The Middle East? They say she has experience, but does she have the experience that we need in dealing with other countries? I think not. How is she going to handle her self at the G8 Summit? All of this needs to be taken into consideration if they are elected.
I am not sure I want her answering the phone at 3:00a.m. I want somebody I can trust to handle any crisis. We need to get out and talk to people. When they bring up a lie we need to counter it with the truth. Keep hammering them with the truth. Keep asking them what the republicans are going to do for me. Make them think for a change and not spout the garbage the republicans put out as fact. They have a hard time telling the truth and we need to keep pointing that out. The flags are a good example. We are the government not the people in Washington D.C. They keep forgetting that.

I watched "This Week" and it's shocking to see how in love the media is with Palin. They are positively gushing over her.

Just heard McCain's campaign guy on Fox Sunday say they would put her out there to answer the press when and if they were ready. I think the "if" is the operative word here. They know damned well she is not ready for prime time and they aren't sure she will ever be.

Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.
“It was kind of disgusting,” Lucille, who is part Aboriginal, said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the “lower 48” about life near the North Pole.
Then, almost with a sigh, she added, “But that’s just Alaska.”
Racial and ethnic slurs may be “just Alaska” and, clearly, they are common, everyday chatter for Palin…

Biden can walk out on any national stage and speak with authority because he has the fundamental knowledge. One is ready to President, the other is not even close. Obama has judgement. McCain does not.

It really needs to be pointed out over and over again what the republicans are doing.
