Bikers for Obama?
video from Real Time last April.
I guess the whole "Miss Buffalo Chip" thing didn't have the desired effect.
A group of road-tested Springfield [Missouri] bikers will endorse Senator Obama Saturday and highlight Obama's consistent support for 'Buy American' provisions. In contrast, John McCain has consistently opposed 'Buy American' provisions, including failing to support policies that would require the government to purchase American-made motorcycles like those produced by Harley-Davidson.
There will be Harley-Davidsons onsite for photo opportunities.
More at the United Steelworkers' website.

Candidates debate between Obama and McCain starting now on MSNBC.
somehow, this is extremely sexist and demeaning to Sarah Palin.
Cool.
Speaking of which.. It's noteworthy in the context, I think, that the Europeans so overwhelmingly support Obama. Despite the fact that he's not the best candiate from the point of view of their pure self-interest. Most of them, in particular the smaller ones, are export-based economies. They'd be better off with a free-trader like McCain than someone more protectionist like Obama.
It just goes to show how much they dislike Bush.
Sarah has a BIKE. Obama has a bicycle.”
Wow, bikers who support Obama? Gives me hope.
dennis @ 4:
Sarah has half a brain, dennis has none.
P.D. @ 5:
I am a biker and a hardcore Democrat. Count me among the Bikers for Obama. In fact, I know a bunch of "Bikers for Obama" here in Ohio. It's not that unusual.
Caribou Barbie lives in the largest state in the union , with the sparsest population , dipshit.
Obama , after he trounces McDepends in November , will be living in DC ; and there's miles and miles of open land there to go riding ?
You're an imbecile...........BTW Great job Mooseburger Queen did with Gibson ; she's already exposing her monumental ignorance (kind of like you do here).
MCMetal @ 8:
You say she exposed her monumental ignorance, but you're too afraid to say what she said that was ignorant until you get whatever comes from the blogs. That's the way it always is with guys like you, too afraid to formulate you're own opinion till you see the concensus. You couldn't tell anyone here how her answers were any different than what Obama and Biden's were concerning Russia.
dennis @ 4:
Since when is having your picture taken leaning against a motorcycle mean you ride one or own one?
dennis @ 4:
As an expert bike seat sniffer Dennis why don't you give us a review.
American made? Harley's electricals are all japanese. The engine cases, machined overseas. The carburetors, MIKUNI. Over 40% of that bike is foreign. C'mon now,...
dennis , you are such a sad little tool :
Are you actually going to try to claim the above quote doesn't seem as if it came from someone either goofing badly on someone , or someone who is a mental patient whittling away their time in Bellevue ?
And I already posted the above quote in an earlier thread , while pointing out how ridiculous her claim is........
BTW
You laughably claim I use some sort of "talking points" ?
I'm the one who pointed out to you how idiotic and asinine your 1st post in this thread was , based upon the huge discrepancy in open land and a total lack of population between where Obama lives and works and where Caribou Barbie does the same.
You don't know shit about honesty , intelligence , politics or motorcycles (apparently) ; is there anything you do know something about ?
You're right, Blue Gal. This never would have happened if Cindy had flashed her tits in Sturgis. The prick teaser and her pimp disappointed a lot of people that day.
dennis @ 4:
This is the kind of thing that makes people think Americans are stupid.
MCMetal @ 13:
You haven't even seen the full interview, so you're taking part of a quote and half-heartedly ridiculing it. You have no idea what beyond that she said that is wrong. And you won't until you get a better read from the blogs.
I have no clue what you're talking about in the open land/motorcycle jibberish. There are all kinds of open land and awesome trails rides just outside of DC for motorcycle rides. The Blue Ridge Parkway through the Shenandoah Mtns is only about 45 minutes away. I don't have a bike now but I did have a Honda 750 back in college that I would give my left nut to have back right now. Before that I had Yamaha trail bikes in high school that I would give both nuts to have back in my garage.
What type of "context" is necessary when you continue a laughable premise that was concocted as a defense by one of the most partisan losers on the planet in Steve Douchey (however you spell that moron's name) of/for Palin/the GOP , that is both mind-bogglingly foolish as well as impossible to justify ?
That , my foolish little toad , is what is known as using 'talking points'.
As for your contention of areas available for Obama to ride ; you believe a US Senator running for the presidency has more free time than the brainless governor of Alaska ?
It also doesn't help your case that you cannot prove that Palin actually owns that bike ; she's merely standing by one in a picture , which is not exactly a title of ownership.
Lots of old-school bikers (I'm not talking about all the yuppies that bought them when the "midlife crisis" graph intersected the "made enough on dividends this year" graph) the are old hippies and "get the government the f*ck out of my face" types who are none-too-happy with the drug laws and other creeping intrusions into their ways of life.
Really, does anyone think that Democrats are more likely to take your gun away these days?
Not surprising at all that many of the guys and gals who've ridden some rough roads in life will vote Obama.
Hey, Dennis, seriously now, what point were you trying to make with your link in post 4?
Ooh look, vote for me! I lent against a Harley! I are a biker!!
I once sat on a Ducati 996, guess I must be a biker too.
Over 250,000 kms on my Honda Sabre.
Spent about half what a Harley with a similar sized engine.
Sorry - US technology no longer holds water.
Thanks for the post Bluegal. it's heartening to see regular people who you wouldn't expect to be paying attention, really paying attention.
maybe there is hope for America yet!

McMetal- What the heck are you talking about? You are incomprehensible.
I didn't make a case, I just posted a web page that had Palin next to a motorcycle and Obama riding one. That's a fair contrast between these two. And who's to say Obama owns the bike he's riding looking like Barney Fife patrolling the streets of Mayberry and Mount Pilot?
When the Boss played at the harley festival in Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago, they told him to drop his usual political references.
Bwahahahahaha. Todd Palin is a dues paying member of the USW. Will he stand with his union brothers and vote for Obama/Biden?? You just can’t make this shit up.
Incomprehensible ?
You believe in the old Andre Agassi commercial line "Image is everything" ?
Chimpy also wore a hilariously ill-fitting flight suit ; does that mean he actually flew the plane he emerged from or owns it ?
That's the glaring difference between those in the GOP and those like Obama , which is the same difference between your sorry-ass self and myself.
Style and flash is all you are fascinated with and are all about , without an ounce of substance being necessary or present.
You possess all the depth of a drop of gnat piss...............And possibly the same IQ.
And the fact that Harley , a huge CORPORATION , didn't want Springsteen being political (especially because he's against corporate greed that the garbage GOP represents and encourages) , means what ?
dennis @ 22:
It's a contrast, alright. And you certainly didn't make a case.
This version is better quality, especially the sound.
Pennsylvania and Ohio are going to vote for Obama. Game over.
Has Obama ever riden a Hog?
You want to prove he's as American as Palin just find a good pic of him out on the highway and America will be sold.
Hell yeah! I'm a biker and I support Obama. Unfortunately most of my buddies don't...
Bikers in Missouri are extremely politically active and deeply involved in Democratic politics. When I went to the annual Truman Days shindig the last day of the legislative session, the bikers had the best hospitality suite on the floor - with the IBEW a close second. Next year, I am getting a room and availing myself of all that free top-shelf liquor!
Loonie @ 27:
It's a very apt visual.
Because , after all , to those who are in or support the garbage GOP :
"Image is everything"...........
But , I have a better one.
The WTC buildings falling down , because of GOP incompetence , and all on their watch..............
Does Dennis usually troll much?
MCMetal @ 13:
Dennis knows basements and t-shorts, plus dab hand at collecting WcCain brownie points.
dennis @ 32:
I used to own and ride motorcycles AND bicycles, now I ride bicycles (not in winter).
Bicycle riding can be the most excilerating fun on two wheels, OK you dont have the speed and power of motorized,
but moving by own pedal power on a good bike in nice safe surrounding can be amazing.
It take two weeks to get into shape riding (or back into if in spring time), but once that is out of the way its fun fun fun.
infrared41 @ 7:
Good to know! I sometimes get tired of the wussy Democrat image we have.
I work in Springfield Missouri. I live in a little town called Clever just south of Springfield. I work in a Union job. Good pay, very good benefits, and great people. That is the microcosm I live in. I am happy to hear there are more people like me I just wish the video was true. These people are few and far between at least in these parts. I am not trying to be an ass. I am just stating what I see in the wilderness I live in. I feel, and I might be wrong, that I'm one of the last few people that might actually know what logic and reason are. I truly Hope that Barack Obama wins because I feel that I cannot take all this anymore. I actually talked to my wife the other night about moving out of the U.S. Am I just being ignorant or what? Any answer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Credoagathos@38:
I think you're right on the money. A few bikers who favour Obama doesn't mean there's some big switch happening. I wish there were but I doubt it. I've also thought about leaving the country if we end up with another Rep in the White House but it's not really practical. I can only hope that Obama wins in Nov. And if not that the Dems build a stronger majority in both houses so they can keep McCain in line.
Credoagathos, don't leave. This is our country, too if we let them scare us away, they win.
