So depressed. Just looked at the latest polls. I can't believe McCain has reason so much in this amount of time. I can't believe he's swung that many people. With what? Sarah and some stupid attacks against Obama? The way I look at it, 60% or so aren't moving. They are split about 30% Dem and 30% Repub, if I had to guess. So these poll movements are the fence sitters. Who are these people? Given the differences between the two candidates, who hasn't made up their mind and is swayed day to day by the dumbshit we're seeing? I shouldn't be surprised, half the country is below average.

I have to say only one thing in defense of Geraldo and that is that he will, on occassion, buck up and try to do the right thing. His reporting from the Convention Center in New Orleans was dead on (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_V6SCiDhEA) and quite frankly I'm surprised him and Shepherd Smith didn't get fired for it. And he has taken Billo on regarding discrimination (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dtcqaMHV6Y).

I saw it when it happened and it was a thing of beauty. Later he called himself something like a dumb ass reporter. Finally, I agree with him on something.

Rick Sanchez of CNN has to be one of the stupidest creatures on earth. I don't think he ever fell down, but he too was trying to be a "brave" reporter in the middle of a hurricane and he too did some things that made him look like a dumb ass reporter. We was wading out in the water to show something or the other when a transformer blew up near him. Quickly he decided he didn't need to be in that location for long.

If anyone saw bush's comments today about the hurricane, I think you might agree with me that he just didn't seem to have his heart in what he was saying. I got the impression that the damned hurricane had interrupted his schedule or something. He seemed sort of defensive and irked by the whole thing.

This week we traveled from the east coast of Florida to the west coast of Florida, and back. I saw several cars with Obama stickers on them. One said, "Another mama for Obama", while most just had the little logo bumper sticker or magnet. I saw no bumper stickers or anything on any cars for McCain.

We were coming through this tiny little town today on the way home. You could tell this was probably one of the poorest most pitiful parts of our state. There was this little house sitting down off the road, it was such a shabby little thing with a couch in the front yard. In the little dirt yard was a McCain yard sign. Whoever owns or rents that little house will be voting against themselves in November.

”We will take no lectures from John McCain who is cynically running the sleaziest and least honorable campaign in modern Presidential campaign history. His discredited ads with disgusting lies are running all over the country today. He runs a campaign not worthy of the office he is seeking.”

I just read this on Andrew Sullivan's web page. A reader of his asks a question I have often wondered myself and it was as follows:

I just wanted to say thank you so much for being the only blogger (aside from Al Giordano) who gets it. While the rest of the blogosphere (especially the liberal bloggers) lose their heads you are an island of common sense. Patience and Steel. Yes, yes. yes.

It also occurs to me that in a way McCain and Rove have actually simply taken over the liberal blogosphere in some way. They are being played.

Just a few examples---yesterday Obama gave a fantastic interview at the Service Forum. Did the liberal blogs even cover this? No.

He gave a great speech on the trail. Are his town halls even posted or excerpted? No.

The liberal bloggers have become McCain central. They make people click on his ads, make the world spin around him instead of focusing on our candidate and what he is trying to do. There is ZERO coverage of what Obama is actually doing every day talking tough on the issues. There is ZERO coverage of Biden (who is on the trail but the blogs don't seem to care or cover him unless he is doing what they think he should be doing. Sadly AFP did cover him this week and people seemed to be too busy saying he was not doing anything to include the link with his forceful comments against McCain. The one time the blogs linked to Biden---when the MSM tried to make a big deal out his answer to a question that made Hillary look bad and he defended her. That was it).

McCain and crew realized early this cycle that they did not have a visible internet presence. So what did they do? They took over the liberal presence, they are manipulating the leading liberal blogs , just as they manipulate the MSM. All to their own advantage. And the blogs have all fallen for this hook, line and sinker. Does no one realize this?

They are all being played.

And Obama, god bless him, he gets it. As does his team. while everyone whines he keeps at it every day with much much class and like a laser focused on the issues. The problem is not Obama, is that no one wants to follow his lead. Instead they are following McCain-Rove and they don't even know it.

Memo to Crooks and Liars .

We need a campaign to acknowledge Sarah Palin's great love for Wildlife and support for hunting , including the right to shoot Wolves from Airplanes , a right she fought hard for in Alaska . This may outrage animal lovers in the United States and expose another reason for not to vote for her , but hey those are the people either to poor to hire a plane or that just don't understand how dangerous and elusive wolves can be , hence the need to take them out, from the safety of a comfortable airplane .
Some pictures may be revolting , such as the pictures of dead wolves hanging from the wings of airplanes and may impact peoples decision to vote for her , but would you want to track down wolves in deep snow , risking frostbite .

Sarah loves animals and is willing to fill up the tank and take off to prove it .
The peoplesvoice.org has link (near bottom ) about Sarah PALIN'S great love for hunting and support for aviation hunting .

They talk about how crazy it is for people who stay and ride out these storms. However, I wonder when one of these crazy reporters is going to get hurt? Why do you think wars are fought by youngsters? It's hard to convince an older person to die. Well, that and the fact that older people are not so strong.

Something amazing is happening because as of Wed, there were less than 2,000 hits on the defendersaction.org video. As of 10 minutes ago there were 175,000

At the YouTube site the Repugs are out en masse commenting on the aerial wolf slaughter. They are trying to change the subject and talk about baby killing, abortion and “culling herds”.

THEY ARE SCARED OF THIS AD so it must be working

Please hit it and comment
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQobIUE1zTU

Then go to defendersactionfund.org and contribute. The ads started running in OH last night. We need to fund for MI FL and other swing states.
There are only 2 of our527’s ready to roll NOW votevets.org has an ad too

...So, don't be sad, don't be shocked. Be ANGRY. Be unrelenting. BE HOPEFUL.

We have an excellent candidate in Obama, he is, and has been running a brilliant campaign, and the debates are on their way...

Besides, even the good-old boys know it's time for the "good cop" to take over...

i don't know how i do this ... ending up with my comment in the middle of the blocked quote ...

here's the link that i recommend for everyone who's in a funk or depressed by the pols to use as their desktop wallpaper:

My thoughts exactly!

Weren't there any dangling electrical wires he could grab to test for connectivity? Or perhaps some falling glass shards he could catch?

See, god knows how to laugh. I wonder if Texas had any Gay Pride stuff planned. Just sayin'. (snark)

Usually the Fox News is right on with breaking news, but for a half hour last night Fox crashed and burned. After Sheperd Smith signed off they went to Geraldo, but he just keep cutting out and pixelating. Then some guy comes on, but no one had any audio. It was very funny. Another strange thing was videos of levee breaches on CNN pretty late, then a report of a levee breaking in New Orleans, so I flipped it to Fox and they said NO FEDERAL LEVEES HAVE BEEN BREACHED, and I never heard another word about it. Palin is lucky Ike blocked out that In what respect Charlie? LOL!

Geraldo never would have been knocked down by the wave if he had simply pulled his gun on the ocean. I mean..that's what has worked for him in the past, right? Maybe he was out of bullets.

Ike had some impressive features, but one thing it lacked was great big random bolts of lightning.

That is the most idiotic thing I have seen in my entire life.

Fox loops that nonsense so many times you'd think retards were watching that channel. Gotta make sure it sinks in.

Funny isn't it, how whenever ANYTHING in the world is happening, Geraldo miraculously appears. The Al Capone thing should have been his kiss of death. When he disclosed the location of our troops I thought for sure that would be the last time we'd see him. But voila, he shows up in Aruba to promise Natalee Hollaway's mother that He alone will find out the truth behind her daughter's murder. Then, he just is gone, never to be seen or heard from again in Aruba. Then he pops up in New Orleans for Gustav, calling for help "There's a man in the water! I see him! Call for rescue immediately!" (the "man in peril" was a utility worker securing a propane tank. Geraldo, HAVE YOU NO SHAME?

What's really sad about this clip is seeing the firefighters wasting their valuable time and energy running to this yuk's aid. That should be considered a crime. It'd be funny if there were a 'lost ending" to this where the firefighters get to him and one yells "Damn! We ran over here to help YOU!?!" and then knocks Geraldo back in to the water.

What happened to holding onto an 'electrical' source when in water?! Shouldn't that dumb shit have been electrocuted just for putting other people in danger?

I guess you know which way I'm leaning..... ;)

"Average" is an IQ of only 100--retarded in my book.
