Colbert's Word: President Bush is "Powerless" to Catch bin Laden
By SilentPatriot Wednesday Sep 17, 2008 6:30pm
In case you missed WH Spokeswoman Dana Perino last week, Stephen explains again why President Bush has yet to catch Osama bin Laden.

"Get off the President's case. Thanks to Dana Perino, we now know that Bush hasn't failed to catch bin Laden because of errors in judgment or policy decisions. It's because he doesn't have super powers. And he has never claimed to be anything but a human being...chosen by God to fight an axis of evil and defeat a mortal danger to all humanity."

Bin Laden is not on the FBI catch list.
The FBI says there is no hard evidence to connect him to 9-11.
Stop reacting to lies.
Colberg... do some comedy on lies that Obama has said, there are a lot more to choose from... Hail King Obama! We all want the government to run our lives! OH can I vote for you please.... do us a favor and go back to Pakistan where who knows why and what you did there in collete.
Wow! He pwned.
Randy @ 3:
Hi troll.
Maybe Bush failed to catch Bin Laden because he's a friend of the family. They were in business together for years.
To busy saving the parasites by transferring their losses to the taxpayers.
I'm amazed that there are morons out there that still wave the bush flag. What needs to happen for you to realize you hooked your wagon to a colossal idiot? Maybe if Bush came to your house and ate your dog. Oh, then you would say, " He didn't eat spot, Clinton did."
Lisa D @ 6:
They are off somewhere together deciding what to do do with the loot from the latest and greatest bank ripoff scheme.
Where have some people been in the past 8 years? You think Obama is the one that thinks he is royalty? All hail the imperial Presidency of Bush, and it's continuation under McCain.
We will find bin Laden in the freezer of the Bush Library. He will be wrapped around the neck of Bush (also in the freezer) like an albatros.
There will be remains of pretzels in both of their mouths.
Osama's Goal. Bankrupt the U.S. (I get by with a little help from my friends)
Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The Democratic-controlled Congress, acknowledging that it isn't equipped to lead the way to a solution for the financial crisis and can't agree on a path to follow, is likely to just get out of the way.
Lawmakers say they are unlikely to take action before, or to delay, their planned adjournments -- Sept. 26 for the House of Representatives, a week later for the Senate. While they haven't ruled out returning after the Nov. 4 elections, they would rather wait until next year unless Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, who are leading efforts to contain the crisis, call for help.
One reason, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said yesterday, is that ``no one knows what to do'' at the moment.
xenophon @ 3:
Agreed, that was amazing.
ol' W is countin' the days til' the brush clearing bonanza begins

How come then the FBI link "Most Wanted Terrorists";
http://209.85.173.104/search?q=cache:KQ_aMea5IqYJ:www.fbi.gov/wanted/ter...
But in all fairness it was interesting that 9/11 was not listed in his FBI dossier---
(Did Bush delete that?)
Doesn't matter anyway. Bin Laden is a red herring, the US has already caught the "mastermind" of 9/11. He's sitting in jail right now.....

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved a $612.5 billion defense spending bill for fiscal 2009, including $70 billion for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. As passed on an 88-8 vote, the measure would authorize $103.9 billion for Pentagon procurement, $1.2 billion more than President George W. Bush's request.

mission accomplished.
We are totally under attack by a criminal administration that is out of control. No one is going after Bin Laden, the supposed mastermind of THE 9/11 ATTACKS we continually hear about and have been told is the excuse from everything from spying, loss of rights, and wars in Iraq that have bankrupted our country. Why aren't more people holding these guys accountable. Who the hell sent the Anthrax around before the Patriot Act was passed.
Hey Randy- change capitalism to fascism, and Obama to Bush, and you have the truth of the past 8 years right there..
hey Randy -
dont get your argument - If "our" side is right and "your" guys get in , the republicans, we are all doomed. and If "your" side is right and "our" guys get in, the democrats, then we are all doomed. It is all how you look at it - so i dunno know- maybe you should give it all up now.

Just compare the actual issues without calling McCain supporters Trolls. Actually compare an issue, voting record, or something of substance. I'm all for it, lets compare one, pick one. Can't wait for the debates. Wager, how many time will Obama bring up "Bush", someone tell him Bush isn't running for re-election. McCain does not agree with all of Bush's policies. Since you all think he does, lets name some instead of just assuming he does, which one are you referring to specifically? McCain has a proven record of reform, crossing party lines, and leaving his own parties ideals. Do you think he can do more, or Obama who has never crossed a party line has the best chance of improving anything? He wants to raise taxes on the rich, ok we get it but how many of you will lose your job? Don't you understand that corporations don't pay taxes? They pass it onto us. Like in the 70's, high inflation, high unemployment, and dead economy. Don't you all remember that? We can't have a President who has to have it all one way... so I agree just like Bush right? So you want another Bush, except this time on the other side of the isle? Please vote McCain and stop the party madness.

So True. Connect the damn dots. In fact you don't even have to. Many others already have. All you have to do is watch their documentaries.. Carlyle Group, etc. Or read the writings. The real problem is the lack of will to connect the dots and unwillingness to talk about or accept the dots being connected.

Abraham Jackmeoff is actually that, LOL
Hey Randy: let us clue you in- McCain is Bush 44. he voted with Bush 90% of the time, and hated the war vets. McCain will do not one thing different from Bush, except maybe let Palin run all over him. Oh, wait, that's what Cheney did to Bush.
Yep. McCain IS Bush, just in the body of a senile old man.

Good evening, Running Struggle.
VietVet8666 @ 1:
Why should there be? Nobody knows who did the Beirut bombing, still. That was twenty-goddamn years ago. Miracles are for the holy books, not for real life. Identifying Bin Laden on the day of the attacks seemed off to me at 12, when I had little idea what a Bin Laden was. Likely story is, we'll never know the actual person behind them. And anyway, 30-odd years to sit down and discover: plane + building = make building fall down go boom? Pathetic.
Lisa D @ 5:
Maybe because the SOB's dead. His little Aum Shinrikyo sect got a boost, but he's been dead for going on 2 years, I'd reckon.
Mick Piobr @ 57:
Good evening, Red Cloud.
Incidentally, I've never understood how a man that took 30 years to discover that plane + building = building fall down go boom (yes, I love that phrase, so sue me), is supposed to be something of a threat...
(Not directed at you.)
Is it just me, or is Colbert largely dropping the "Republican pundit" satirical shtick and now just flat-out slamming the GOP?
gogetem @ 4:
more of a low troll, still wet behind the ears from being under his bridge
Loonie @ 29:
That's where all the R-12 went...
Mick Piobr @ 50:
And Obama's views? My point exactly idiot.
The reason McCain was worried about the GI bill is that it would strain and weaken our forces. So if we are called to war in a few years with Iran or other, and we have no soldiers you will then bitch it was McCain's fault? P.S. he didnt even vote on it, so I guess he was like Obama there, no let me tell you that would be Obama's fault. Tell me you are not that stupid, or maybe you will enlist and go fight for our freedom right? Don't you remember the democrats saying stupid people have a spot in the miltary? Hope that ad comes on strong next month.
As far as healthcare, do you feel you should pay for your neighbors coverage who can afford it, and has access to, but chooses not to buy it? Where do you draw the line. Every state has a CHIP program, no one is denied care, that's against the law. What you are proposing is the goverment tax everyone more to pay for those who choose not to buy it. Those who truly cannot afford it have goverment help. Obama's plan would put it under government control, and cost 100,000's of jobs for those who work in and around the industry. Economy would suffer from many high paying jobs. Now that's an issue on wall street to them, but who cares about healthcare right? Oh it hasn't happened yet, but when it would Obama would say it was Bush's fault.
Martial Law Act, are you saying you don't think the President should be able to declare it? So Obama would have to consult a legal team in event of a crisis? What is your point. This was an outdated law reformed formed out of when we were attacked by terrorists in 2001.
Oil: You think taxing oil companies is going to bring down the price of gas? What is your point of raising this issue? They are American companies who make their dollars and keep them in our economy. What is your suggestion on what to do with the money once they stop drilling because they cannot stay in business with the overtax burden? Did you know $60c per gallon of your cost of gas is already tax?
The point is Obama or his supporters have no realisic arguments, and only can criticize others for making decisions right or wrong, and criticize their outcomes for their own gain. Don't be fooled young laddie for a moment that Obama is qualified to make tough decisions. The Presidency is not a calk walk or a court room.

Proud Obama supporter = clueless, like I said send me an issue, not one based on Trolls or fictional voting records to debate.
Hail King Hussein Obama! - I just like saying that.
Waiting for a response on an actual issue... are you looking it up on the Obama site? LOL you are really all bandwagon voters.
Randy @ 65:
Sure...
how exactly do you think that John McCain is going to solve the current economic issue? His ideas are the same damn shit that's been going on the last 8 years. Unless your name is "Leonid Illyich Brezhnev," you should be smart enough to realize that keeping the status quo is no improvement.
Your move.
General Pavel Rennenkampf Xocoyotzin @ 68:
BTW, I'm voting against McCain, not for Obama.
Obama issues 94/94 times to increase taxes...
Voted yes to close oil exploration countless times, in the Arctic, and everywhere else.
Where is the hot Iraq issue now? Because he was wrong? Where is the hot economy issue when the market goes up? Where is the Great Depression, do you see anyone in bread lines?
Obama voted NO to increasing minimum wage, hmm that is odd? Can you say raise taxes for the goverment to control more?
Hail King Obama, King of Fear! Hail the King!
Randy @ 70:
Dammit, idiot, learn how to read English!
I just asked you what McCain was going to do about the economy.
General Pavel Rennenkampf Xocoyotzin @ 68:
EXACTLY my point man, McCain stands the only chance with a proven record of making tough decisions, also getting democrats to come along on key issues. It is not goverment's job to solve all of this, let the free market compete and government needs to control more when it needs protecting or changing. They are not pitching do nothing, they are pitching major reform with less govt. spending. They are about creating jobs, wanting employers to invest here not abroad. They will create jobs, go read what they are pitching. Remember the economy has been hot for 8 years = rarely mentioned with Bush. Only the last 2 years have gone down really since the democrats control congress and have done nothing but try to exploit weaknesses in the economy so they can win the election. It is very clear man, I'm with you on some things but try to discuss the issues. If John McCain thinks a bill would weaken our military I would trust that he is correct.
Randy @ 63:
Randy,
You've gone to this much trouble, maybe you won't mind a little more.
Will you please explain to me why John McCain is so against John McCain? If you don't understand my question, then perhaps The Daily Show can explain it better:
http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=184113&title=john-...
General Pavel Rennenkampf Xocoyotzin @ 71:
THANK YOU FOR ASKING, instead of calling me a troll:
McCain/Palin economic plan, Energy, Govt Reform, Small Business support, lower taxes, fix trade barriers. Remember our economy has been hot for 8 years, after all we have faced a dot com burst, terrorist attack, war, and only recent abanking collapse due to stupid mortgage loans (we can debate who's fault it was but it's a big pile of shit I agree). See: http://www.johnmccain.com/Issues/jobsforamerica/
Once the housing prices stabilize, the market will come back with a force. Energy, and declining housing prices are the reason. Obama dropped the energy debate since the country favors drilling. He dropped the Iraq debate because he is wrong. Now he only has the banking problems to blame Bush, but that is not due to bad regulation, it is due to short term cash issues tied to declining home prices. So stop the housing mess, you start the economy again.
By increasing taxes, he will further add to the problem by creating more foreclosures and people not being able to make their payments. I have a solution to this but I'm not running for President. :)
Randy @ 72:
Hot for eight years? The 9/11 attacks have been screwing it up for the last 8 years. I realize expectations in the West were lowered after the 60s turmoil, but if Bush's administration presided over a good economy, I'm Queen of the May. Granted, not all of that is on his head, some of it comes from the fact that every boom must eventually bust, but even so...the guy's had eight years to get shit going again. It's been a Bush Stagnation instead.
The Democrats cannot have all of the blame for this. This shitstorm is bipartisan, and unfortunately, this greed has been ongoing since long before Harry Reid's gang of ballsless idiots took office. Obama's got nothing, but I can hardly stomach the thought of Sarah Palin as President assuming McCain pulls a Chernenko.
