Dick Morris says Obama won the debate and that angers Hannity
It was pretty comical watching Sean Hannity attack his own team player Dick Morris becuase Dick wouldn't follow Hannity's talking points after the debate. Even Morris gets honest once in a while.

I thought Obama won the first, I thought McCain won the second. And overall since we hadn't had a terrorist attack last week, but had the economy failing apart. The economy is more important that I have to say unfortunately I think Obama won this debate.

Hannity suddenly thinks memorizing lines is a bad thing? What will he say about Sarah Palin? Oh, never mind. Once Sean says he was getting honest it kind of ruined it for me. Morris prefaces his remarks by saying that he's voting for McCain over and over again, but then gives the debate to Obama.
Hannity didn't like that all too much and tried to force Morris to agree with his idiotic point that Obama sure has a lot of "book knowledge."

Hannity is an idiot, but he does betray that the main GOP campaign talking point they're pinning all their hopes to is Obama's few years of experience compared to McCain's many.
Other than starting out every other answer by saying that McCain is right about this or that, the big thing that bothered me about Obama's performance was that he didn't hammer in hard enough that all of McCain's years of experience are meaningless when it's his governing philosophy and values that are utterly wrong and harmful to the majority of Americans who have to work for a living.
Biden said it best when talking with Keith Olbermann - "I've been to all the same places that John has, but just because I was there doesn't mean I'm always right." Even KO was taken aback by how simple and profound that statement was. They need to turn that into a campaign ad and play it non-stop until the election.

I thought Obama won on the economy, and tied on foreign policy. The reason he tied on foreign policy is tied to the economy - people question the judgment that led to the expensive nation building endeavor in Iraq, and Obama scores points on the failure to keep the focus on Afghanistan. The surge is perceived as successful, which helps McCain, but doesn't get him off the hook for supporting getting into Iraq in the 1st place.
Polls show a slight bump in favor of Obama. NH has flipped from barely republican to barely democrat. PA has moved to weak democrat. I also think that McCain is perceived as acting erratically this week leading up to the debate, being against the debate before he was for it, and so forth.
Oops. This must not be the Sean Hannity fan club I was looking for.

I happen to catch Cavutos show - all three of his guests gave it to Obama.
But clearly the biggest loser/bad sport was Lou Dobbs, who's been after Obama and his wife, personally for months now . The day before the debate he railed against what he was sure to be a mass bias in Obama's favor because the media were all in the tank for Obama, including most of CNN's staff.
So the next day - he asks Schneider "who won" and Schneider says "Obama'. Just as Lou begins his rant Schneider interrupts and says " it was CNN's own poll that gave it to Obama:, and then slaps Dobbs down with -" that's because the CNN voters were mostly Democrats."
Apparently the crazed rants of Dobbs/ "Mr Independence" are driving more of CNN's viewers into the Democrats column.

When will people see Hannity for what he really is? I must assume Fox News is a part of this also. If you review the call in Fox News polls that indicated who won the debates: first, McCain/Obama: second, Palin/Biden: and, third, McCain/Obama, all three Fox News polls indicated that McCain and Palin won by identical scores of 86% to 12%. That has to be almost either coincidental or just a damn lie. No polls that I can state that are that identical. All the national polls, network and cable, suggested that Obama and Biden won with variable numbers and difference percentage levels.

You are correct, sir. Wikipedia says Hannity does not have a degree. I looked it up a while back when he made some other stupid remark. However, remember, G.W. Bush is a Yale graduate with a MBA from Harvard. John McCain is a graduate of the U.S Naval Academy, which is supposed to be one tough school. So they have degrees and couldn't find their asses with a roadmap.

Ultimately, I think the republicans are going to say anything that Obama isn't, play up its possibilities and turn it into workable catch-phrases which filter down into their viewing public--especially those who are scared and unsure about the leadership of a person of color in an important position.
But the problem with catch-phrases is that the conservatives watching don't put any depth of analysis of what they are indeed saying.
By advocating McCain's faults, it's as if they are saying it is all right to be mean, condescending and stupid. But it only thing it means to those folks is simply, "Obama is too book-smart," "McCain is experienced, " or that "Obama doesn't understand".
That kind of drivel also filters into the camps of those who sit on the fence and advocate that "McCain and Obama are the same" (when they are clearly not).

Yesterday I posted to another article that I thought McCain looked to be a wind up toy programmed with all the right lines. And now Hannity is using my metaphor practically to mischaracterize Obama.
I just don't get it...how does McCain win the foreign policy part of the debate? I mean I understand we all who are decided will see what we want to see and hear what we want to hear but, well, I am getting overly excited about words from Hannity and Morris so shame on me I guess. There have been few bigger cheerleaders for how great things are going in the Bush economy than Hannity. Every time I've seen him discussing the economy, it's how "things have never been better than under Bush." premierespeakers.com/sean_hannity/bio that the Freedom Concerts that he held last year, all 5 off them, resulted in him being able to donate $10,000,000 to Freedom Alliance! The 60,000 people attended the 5 concerts would have had to donate at the minimum of $166.66 each!
However in Freedom Alliance's 2007 Tax Form 990, no where in the 40 or so pages is there any reference to Hannity donating $10,000,000 or anything!
Show me the money Sean? A cancelled check made out to Freedom Alliance for $10,000,000 from Freedom Concerts, would do for starters!
When you are able to be consistent with facts rather that flip-flop over general statements while having a beer sounds like book knowledge.
It reminds me of how )in 2000) Bush kept on referring to everything Gore discussed regarding a fiscally responsible government as “fuzzy math”.
This is just another prime example of what many have written, and said for years. There are usually two sides to an issue, but conservatives can only see one of them. Liberals see two sides, and go with the better argument. Conservatives just cannot do that. It is clear, Hannity formed his Obama opinion so early on, he really never really listened to what he was saying. The most attention he paid, was to listen for attack points. Those all seemed to be at a very high, and generalized level.

I think that the Republicans could really be in the soup this time. My nephew, who is an attorney for hospitals, defending them in malpractice suits, told me that even though he's never voted for a Democrat, he is very serious considering it this time. He, his lawyer brother, his engineer brother, Mom and Dad, have probably never voted for a Democrat since, possibly Adlai Stevenson or John F. Kennedy (by the parents). So if this guy is thinking Dems, I'd say the Republicans really need to have those voting machines well-rigged.
