Mike's Blog Roundup
Oliver Willis: Biden FTW, except with C+ America and the bone-deep stupid
Petrelis Files: Former assitant editor of the conservative Washington Times says it's all over for the Psychogeezer and Caribou Barbie. Maybe so, but get ready for a revival of Reverend Wright.
Calculated Risk: Charley Rose discussion on the economy with Mort Zuckerman and Andrew Ross Sorkin
Blue Heron Blast: Sarah Silverman and The Great Schlep
Open Salon: McCain Wrestles a Bear!
Justice Watch: Reagan appointees criticize Scalia activism

Jeremiah Wright might well debate Thomas Muthee on witchcraft.
Loved the Caribou Barbie link... she's something, that Sarah Palin... hate her voice; it's like nails scratching a blackboard for me. eeeeeewwwww!
"Team Maverick"...sound like a bunch of old geezers shot into space to attempt to repair the Hubble Space Spectacles.
Prediction: the House will pass a "bailout" bill today and maverick John McCain will take credit.
Tying Bush to McCain... look no further than their GPA.
C -grade Student for President!
The Brits are usually pretty sensible, and not US partisans - so this is quite telling:

Who won the US vice-presidential debate?
Joe Biden and Sarah Palin met in St Louis on Thursday night for the vice-presidential debate. Who came out ahead?
16.4% Sarah Palin
83.6% Joe Biden
I was hoping to see some discussion on this interview here:

theWalrus @ 4:
The Senate passed the bail out bill; because, both McCain and Obama are in the Senate. Neither of the candidates want to get bogged down with a Bush proposal.
The House is going to drag this thing out until January; when, hopefully, a responsible adult is in the White House.
In Tennessee they would say mcgramps wrestled a bar
Probably Le Femme Hommes.

I buried Paul...
upchuck,
You may very well be correct. That is how the politics will likely play out. The bailout bill has so much grassroots opposition to it, that holding it up would likely not hurt politicans with the voters.
The market is up another 225+ plus points today, and has essentially regained all the losses from earlier in the week. Wachovia has found a spouse. The market has corrected itself to a certain point.
Families, however, are another matter. They don't have new products to create and sell, or new markets to enter...it is not so easy to self correct a family budget. That is where the government assistance is needed, and following a mediocre holiday season which will have at best flat sales, the new Congress can address those issues in January 2009.

Frank: “We realize George Bush has led us to the road of socialism and will have to monitor it closely.”
OMG.
Very funny piece,
Crap.
This will not end well folks.
This is the collapse of globization and worldwide economies.
What's with this bitch carrying the poor little baby all over the damn place?
Rev. Wright meet Palin's anti-Semitic witch pastor . He makes Rev. Wright look like James Dobson....?? or something.
Woohoo! I'm famous!!!
the link to the BioBrain's comment about red state Biden "bosniacs" semi-gaffe makes his point well.
there was something bizarre and freudian about Palin's gaffe about general "McClellan",
confusing a Bush admin crony with a military strategist and commander ... that's never happened before?
Why haven't we gassed Sarah Silverman? She is a crime against comedy and the only good thing she did was get her face smashed in in Way of the Gun.
Palin can't answer questions, but she sure can deliver deceptive smears with a smile.
Please see Charlie Rose with Warren Buffet from 2 nights ago. It was the most informative interview I've seen on the financial crisis, and one of the better interviews I've seen, period, in a long time.
Course I'm biased cuz I think Buffet's awesome.
It's my own fault but I keep getting drawn by C & L and HuffPo into reading Oliver's posts. Now I was a daily reader of his until it became crushingly apparent that his big readership was little more than a neocon coffee clache.
It's perfectly admissable to let these dregs have a say but Oliver has the adorable habit of replying endlessly to these arrogant nitwits. All in the name of an apparently ill-conceived notion of fairness.
He needs to figure out some way to get this annoyance modified. When the muffins make it too obvious that they're pointless and politically foolhardy, it's really not a good thing to let them just go on and on.
Oliver, Luv ya but you need to get a grip on things. The number of hits doesn't mean a thing if it's a 90% neocon slag job they laying on you.
Perhaps you still believe you can alter their thinking. HA! That would require the fools to turn off the tape loop in their heads.........AND THEY CAN'T DO THAT.
Black_Knight @ 21:
That's bullshit.
Simon White-Thatch Potentloins @ 25:
She ought to attend a Texas barbecue
They'll be plenty of gas expellations around her.
Nice roundup. Passed it around Midvalley. Got to get the people reading.
