Fort Lee To Pay $120,000 Each To Teens Locked In Police Van Overnight

FORT LEE — The borough will pay $120,000 each in a settlement with three boys who were locked in a Fort Lee police van overnight in freezing temperatures, attorneys for the plaintiffs told the Record.

The plaintiffs—Adam Kim, Liam Eisenberg and Adam Jun—were among about a dozen juveniles detained by Fort Lee police from a house party during the early morning hours of March 26, 2011. Five of the teens were left in a cage inside a police van after having their cell phones seized, a complaint against Fort Lee said.
