Winter Olympics 2014: State Department Advises U.S. Athletes It Could Be Dangerous To Wear Uniforms Outside Of Venues

Remember those U.S. uniforms for the Opening Ceremony that were unveiled on Thursday? You know, the ones that were slammed all over the Internet? (Maybe you blocked them out).

Well, now the U.S. State Department is warning athletes about wearing them...outside venues.

"Wearing conspicuous Team USA clothing in non-accredited areas may put your personal safety at greater risk," read a memo unearthed by The Wall Street Journal's Rachel Bachman and Sara Germano, who added that there were other steps mentioned in the document to make sure athletes stay safe in Sochi.
