State of Michigan goes 2-0

Both Michigan and Michigan State advanced to the Sweet 16 with victories Saturday, with the Wolverines turning in the more convincing performance of the two.

The 2nd-seeded Wolverines topped No. 7 seed Texas by a score of 79-65, closing the game on a 21-13 run after the Longhorns pulled within six points late in the game.
