Rick Santorum is pimping his new book, "Blue Collar Conservatives," (They've come up with a new label for conservatism since "compassionate" failed so miserably.) so he joined MSNBC's Morning Joe and bragged that a member from Obama's campaign team said they feared his candidacy because blue collar workers loved his ideas so much.

Q: Why wouldn't you run in 2016?

Santorum: Really, the only reason I wouldn't run is family considerations.

Q: If it wasn't for that though do you think you can win?

Santorum: Look, I thought I could have won last time. I'm convinced. You know I asked one of the Obama minions who were running the campaign, 'Hey, why didn't you guys help me? I was up there battling Romney and all these folks at MSNBC were saying wouldn't this be great if Santorum were the nominee, why didn't you help me? Why didn't you go out and bang me a little a bit, hit me you know, as being too conservative?' Help me out a little bit. And the consensus was, we didn't want you, because of this" (Santorum holds up his book.)

He said Romney's campaign handed him a Pennsylvania poll which scared Mitt's team also:

Santorum: We started noticing that the exit polls, 5, o'clock we were always wrong with you and so we started asking this question, "who are you going to vote for and when are you planning to vote?' And they showed this survey from Pennsylvania that showed if you were going to vote before, that was three days before I got out. if you were going to vote before noon I was up by five, if you were going to vote between noon and five o'clock I was down four and if you were gonna vote after five, I was up 21.

Scarborough: When working people go to the polls.

Vote for Santorum the Invincible!

He's not talking about polls going head to head against Obama mind you, but Romney. His message is the same tired one that conservatives have been using since Ronald Reagan. Cutting taxes cures everything that ails the economy and is the magic elixir of life. It will magically restore manufacturing jobs and incentivize the 1%ers to hire workers again.

Oh, and "dead fetus" Rick hates raising the minimum wage. That's a message that will bring in all those blue collar workers he's trying to convert to conservatism.
