While country/western has never appealed to my tastes, I have to say that this song is pretty entertaining. It might actually be the only country/western song to contain clever, thought-out lyrics. Plus, it's got some serious societal commentary and genre criticism delivered with all the (completely-warranted) sass it needs. Maddie & Tae spare no one in this parody, making fun of every single trope you could possibly find in a modern country/western song. Plus, it's nice to see some social progress taking place in a certain, unspecified geographical location within the United States.

Thanks for the request Nonny, hope you feel better!
