The moon does, on some level, make sounds, it's just that we can't hear them. If we could, I image that it'd sound a whole lot like this.

Seeing as how this tune is off the soundtrack to a video game that takes place in the '80s, I feel like MOON did a good job of capturing the atmosphere of the time (even though I didn't exist yet, for those of you who did, I'll let you be the judge). It also serves its purpose well within the art form: it's interesting, but still pretty conservative in that it's mainly an atmospheric piece meant to set the mood for that part of the game. With all the overblown movie and Triple A video game soundtracks that are out there these days, it's nice to see a composer who can exercise some restraint for the sake of the art form.
