A Competitive Workforce...*

Today we're going to take a look at the long-standing, time-honored tradition of the Right kicking the Poor whenever they have the opportunity. It's a strange fetish, but it runs in deep, broad seams through the entire strata of the Right. Our Corporate Overlords never forgot and never forgave Teddy and Franklin D. Roosevelt's Anti-Trust Laws or the New Deal, respectively, and their spawn continue the fight today. Income Inequality is not a bug, it's a feature.

Aimee Patton (@aimeepatton11 on twitter) kicks it off by doing the basic math that Kansas Gov. Brownback and his GOP cohorts in Kansas can't seem to cipher in in their "No Cruises On Food Stamps" Bill.

Mike, at Mad Mike's America (@MadMikeAmerica), shows us "How the Libertarian Ideal Killed a Young Mother." If I had to pick the 'must read' today, this is it.

Erik Loomis (@ErikLoomis), at Lawyers, Guns & Money, illustrates the perceived certitude of an ascendant New Gilded Age has our Elite betters already Institutionalizing and justifying it.

And finally-- Lance Mannion (@LanceMannion) brings us "Another Very Short Essay-- 'What's Vital'."

* - They always leave out, "Competitive with Haiti, Laos..."
