Big news for the world of Latin music: Cirque du Soleil's next show will be based on the music of Argentinean rock band, Soda Stereo.
June 22, 2015

Soda Stereo is widely recognized as being one of the most influential bands in the world of Latin rock and it's great to see their music being realized by Cirque du Soleil in the same manner as the likes of The Beatles, Elvis, and Michael Jackson. I think this is a great choice for a Cirque du Soleil theme, even though it seems a bit out of left field. You won't hear me complaining, though, since I'm definitely going to see this one. As of the posting of tonight's Music Club, it has been announced that the show will only be touring in South America. However, hopefully Cirque will see a big demand for the show in some other countries, especially the U.S., due to its large Latino population. Can't wait for this show to get started?

What bands or musical artists do you think would make for a good Cirque du Soleil show?
