I just went ahead and put this band under the genre of progressive rock because I honestly have no idea what to put this under. I mean, it's progressive and it has foundations in rock, so why not? Seriously though, the drummer goes back and forth between metal and funk grooves, the guitarists are harmonizing epic solos like Brian May would on a Queen record, and everybody else is playing these King Crimson-esque unisons. Then, to top it all off, it goes into this dreamy, post-rock-like section full of synth pads, while, underneath it all, the drummer plays a marching snare solo. I could compare this band to other groups and styles all day long, but I still wouldn't be able to put it all under one label. I have no idea how this group thought to put all of this stuff together and make it work.

What music blows your freaking mind?
