Kimmel spared him no quarter, calling him an ahole, and choking up through his monologue.

Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t his usual, comedic self on Tuesday as the late-night host decided to get serious during his monologue on the killing of Cecil the lion.

The Internet was up in arms after news broke that Walter Palmer, an American dentist, hunted and killed a 13-year-old male lion while he was on vacation in Zimbabwe. The incident caused even more of a stir due to the fact that Cecil the lion was a huge attraction at Hwange National Park and was being tracked for a study by Oxford University.

Zimbabwean police are currently searching for Palmer, who has a history of hunting big game.

“I am honestly curious to know why a human being would feel compelled to do that—how is that fun?” Kimmel said. “Is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you need to kill things?”
