Reactions to Rupert Murdoch's tweet about Ben Carson being a "real black President" came swift and hard afterward.

Jones called the tweet “juvenile crap” and didn’t like the “completely outrageous and disgusting” insinuation about President Obama‘s blackness, saying that Fox has “done more to undermine President Obama than any news outlet in human history against any president.”

Don Lemon noted how the piece Murdoch referred to contains a quote from Jones himself saying, “I understood the tightrope from the beginning. He’s the president of all people. But sometimes it felt like he was president of everyone except black people.”

Jones made it clear there’s a difference between the fair points raised by that piece and the “divide and conquer nonsense” he thinks Murdoch is engaging in.

“If Rupert Murdoch cares about black people,” he said, “he should tell the people at Fox News he does so, because you can’t tell by watching Fox News.”

Amen to that.
