In the latest edition of Blacklash 2016, The Unblackening, The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore discussed the latest turn of events in the 2016 Republican primary, and the rise of Ted Cruz in the polls ahead of Donald Trump.

After asking if there was something wrong with his teleprompter, Wilmore's director explained to him that it wasn't their equipment that was broken, but he thought the news was broken instead.

Wilmore wondered what the heck was going on in Iowa, where apparently they "couldn't get enough of Black Snoopy the Dog, Twin-Separating Stabby-Pants," and now it's Cruz they love, and asked if his supporters had actually heard him speak.

Whether it's Cruz's climate denial at a recent hearing, or Cruz's approach to dealing with Trump and Carson's attacks on him, Wilmore noted that there's just something creepy about the guy. After playing of Cruz's ridiculous "machine gun bacon" video, Larry pointed out what a lot of us were probably thinking after watching it:

WILMORE: Wow. Do you know how small your dick has to be to do something like that? Do you know?

I don't know guys. He's just creepy. It's his whole vibe, right?

To help him understand what's going on, Wilmore brought on medium Madame De La Fontaine (a.k.a. Nightly Show regular Holly Walker) to walk him through all of this.

Walker explained that the Cruz seems so creepy because the GOP is haunted:

WALKER: The GOP has spent so many years invoking the name of Reagan and trying to summon up his spirit, that they accidentally opened up an evil portal to hell.

WILMORE: So this is all the fault of saying Reagan's name all the time?

WALKER: Yes. It's like saying Beetlejuice too many times.

WILMORE: Oh, okay. I get it. Well madame, how can we tell if someone is possessed by one of these demons?

WALKER: You can tell them by their words. They say things like climate change is a hoax. Planned Parenthood is selling baby body parts and guns don't kill people, blah, blah, blah. You know the rest of the bullshit.

When asked if Trump was possessed by a demon and if that explained what was going on with him as well, Walker said, "No, he's just an asshole" that even the demons don't want to go near.

Can you help us out?
