Donald Trump continued his assault against Sen. Ted Cruz' birth status by calling him a Canadian anchor baby.
I'm no fan of the term "anchor baby," when Republicans use it to demagogue people, especially since Trump and other GOP presidential candidates have been using it to discriminate with, but at least Cruz gets to feel the sting of it when they turn it back at each other.
Trump: Ted Cruz is an anchor baby in Canada. But Canada doesn't accept anchor babies.
Most GOP voters and pundits thought Ted Cruz didn't do well at last night's debate and I imagine Trump's continued attacks on his Canadian roots hasn't helped him much in the recent Iowa polls either.
