Mike's Blog Round Up
February 2, 2016

So. Iowa. Wow. How 'bout those results last night? They change everything, right? Or nothing. Or something. It's not entirely clear. But whatever, it was extraordinary, right? Or ordinary. It's hard to say. I mean, a bunch of Iowans, a handful of the electorate, expressing themselves in a cauldron of democracy, unleashing delegates into the national maelstrom, kicking off this glorious presidential process. Or succumbing to manipulated self-interest in a quagmire of dysfunction, propagandized into false-conscious submission, unrepresentative of anything like the popular will. Whatever. It was so great, right?*

Frankly Curious: Why those "top secret" e-mails won't hurt Hillary.

The Left Coaster: Why Hillary needs to let her hair down.

Seeing the Forest: Why Bernie is exactly what the country needs.

No More Mister Nice Blog: Why Donald isn't the tough guy he claims to be.

Occasional Planet: Why America needs a new primary system. Pronto.

*Full disclosure: I wrote the above before the final results were in last night. But it hardly matters. The results still mean pretty much whatever you want them to mean. Just don't listen to the morons on CNN, as I did last night. Breaking News! Key Race Alert! Unfathomable Stupidity!

Happy Groundhog Day!
