On this week in 1972, the Jimmy Castor Bunch's "Troglodyte (Cave Man)" reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. It would be the highest peak the record made and stayed at the position for the next 3 weeks. At my house it was #1 one on my kiddie record player at the time. Well, until my parents got tired of hearing me play a hundred times a day and eventually winged it out into the street.

Jimmy Castor was also born on this day, June 22nd, in 1940.
