The debut album from Memphis, Tn. band Nots, 2014's We are Nots, was many doses of short and quick stabs of alienation, frustration and agitation. On their brand new album, Cosmetic, such things have been expanded on.

It isn't just because some of the songs reach on it reach over 3 and even 7 minutes long (the average length of songs on the first album are around a minute 40 give or take a few seconds here and there) but also because it sounds like the band has has become even more headstrong and confident on addressing the societal aberrations that seem to be reaching new heights every day.

"Cold Line' was released earlier this summer as a 7inch single. It was sparse and spooky. Tonight in the club though we're going to listen to the new album version. The darkness sounds even more brash and bold on it.

What are you listening to tonight?
