It's not even a "vast right-wing conspiracy" anymore.

A conspiracy would indicate they were trying to keep it secret. But no. Chris Hayes noted on last night's All In, the Benghazi hearings...

...didn't ultimately seem to be about the results it produced but rather the whiff of wrongdoing that comes with continuous probes. They're already preparing for years of investigations of Clinton if elected president. the chair Jason Chaffetz saying it's a target-rich environment. "Even before we get to day one we have two years of material lined up. She has four years of history at the State Department and it ain't good." The President of the conservative organization Judicial Watch put it more bluntly. "I know this generation of Republican leaders is loathe to exercise these tools, but impeachment is something that's relevant," said Tom Fitton who has criticized GOP lawmakers for failing to preemptively impeach Hillary Clinton.

Yes, THAT Jason Chaffetz, cowardly Trump-muffin who will look his 15-year-old daughter in the eyes and tell her he voted for Mister Grab a Pus*y Tic Tacs, even though he said he couldn't "endorse" that.

Charlie Pierce says it best:

They aren't going to change. They're going to shuffle Donald Trump off the stage, blame him for himself, and then go right back to the serious work of seriously delegitimizing another Democratic president. The Republican party is as committed to subverting the will of the people as it ever was. What Chaffetz does is give the lie preemptively to any of the hogwash we're going to hear about the GOP learning a damn thing from the experiment in terror that it loosed upon the nation over the last two years.

Watch for it. Hashtag "Memory Hole Project." And Cable News will help.
