If Gallon Drunk would've stopped after their third album, 1996's In The Still Long Night, they'd more often be lauded as some of the architects of a certain strain of art bent and blues infected punk rock.

I am not going to get into how the albums that follow that aren't that good though. I'm going to go back to 1992. This song, "Some Fools Mess", was awarded Single of the Week in the NME that year.

It's a moody, broody thing....especially considering a couple of the band members penchant for Hawaiian shirts.
