November 18, 2016

Forty years ago on this night, November 18th, Richard Hell & The Voidoids made their live debut at CBGB's in the New York Bowery. I've always dug the manic tension of this song. That and how the backing vocals sound like a gang of snarky cartoon alley cats and the way Robert Quine's brief guitar solo sounds like a shard of glass being used as a dagger.

What are you listening to tonight?
