The ladies from the original movie "9 to 5," took the Emmy stage and delivered the most scathing observations about the Trump presidency so far.

In the 1980 movie, Lilly Tomlin, Jane Fonda and Dolly Parton portrayed three female employees of a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot find a way to turn the tables on him.

During tonight's 69th Prime-time Emmy Awards, the three megastars took the stage and had this to say.

Parton opened, "Personally I have been waiting for a 9 to 5 reunion ever since we did the first one."

Fonda filled in the details, "Well, back in 1980, in that movie, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot."

Tomlin closed, "Really. And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot."

( Raucous cheers and applause break out)

Fonda continued, "So, that being said, tonight we're here to recognize some men who conduct themselves with the utmost integrity."

Seems apropos, no?
