This pretty good and well-cast (Gene Tierney, Walter Huston) gothic thriller is elevated by Vincent Price playing an artistocrat megalomaniac who makes a three-course meal of the scenery every time he's on screen.

Fun fact: Dragonwyck was the directorial debut of Joseph Mankiewicz who, up until this time, had been a screenwriter for Paramount Pictures and a producer for MGM.

Enjoy!
